You don't have any argument as to why going to a community college is a bad choice. Just because you say it is doesn't make it so. Community Colleges are cheaper, much more reputable, and have proper accreditation then these for profit colleges. Employers don't question the value and merit from a degree from a community college. Community colleges are legit schools. And if you respond to me, and you're answer is "not true," or "w r o n g," or some other bull crap without stating your reason, then I'm gonna just going to assume you have no reasoning behind it and that you have no idea what you're talking about.

60 credits in 1 year? There is your problem, the average college student does 30 in 1 year. Especially since 120 credits is around the amount for a bachelors degree.

Unfortunately, the public community colleges are now following the curriculum model of the unaccredited for profit colleges of pushing the students through and taking their money, whether they’re ready or not. School, even at the college level, is no longer about learning or helping the students to learn. The end result will be students who have a piece of paper that means nothing in terms of the skills they were supposed to learn, but didn’t.

IF SOMETHING LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, ACT LIKE IT ALWAYS IS. That’s how you DON’T accrue 30k in debt and a Chuck E. Cheese degree

So when Tyarra said "you still can work," she meant "you can still work because this fake ass degree gonna leave you deep in debt."

Why are you trying to go to ANOTHER for-profit college like Bryant and Stratton after just being scammed out of a for-profit? I feel bad for her but damn dude, what’s not clicking for her.

My AAS is 60 credits for two years. How is she racking up 60 credits in a year, and how many credits is she supposed to target for her degree? I can get 12 credits in a semester, and thats just 4 classes. And its hard enough. Is she taking like, 8 or 9 classes per semester?

I'm guessing it's because Everest was a proprietary school, meaning they didn't follow the standard school year traditional colleges go by. They might've gone by quarters instead of semesters and/or students weren't given the familiar seasonal breaks (summer vacation, winter break, spring break). Either way, quarters are shorter than semesters, so instructional hours for each course was probably abbreviated to accommodate the accelerated timeline. This is probably one of the reasons why traditional colleges rarely accept transfer credits from proprietary schools -- less instructional hours implies less learning, so traditional colleges probably believe courses from schools like Everest aren't equal to their own.
