Hi Amelia! Thank you for this really informational video! 😊I loved how you went into detail on your experience in the hospital as a SLP grad student. Since hospitals are 24/7, do the SLP's work overnight as well? Also, do you have an idea of what specialty you want to go into?

Hi Melanie! I'm so glad the video was helpful for you!! Therapy services only treat ~8am-4pm on weekdays, so you get off around 4:30 everyday. You do evals on the weekends as well (or PRNs do), but no treatment on the weekends. I don't know what exactly what population I want to work with, but I am really interested in voice and swallowing for adults, and AAC as well! What semester are you in in school?

I really like how you can work in a variety of settings and work with different age groups. What made you decide to pursue SLP? I hope you can make more videos about your career 😁
