Finnish Brutality 2021 was intended to be a Winter War theme, and while the continued brutality of 2020 caused the event itself to be cancelled, a small handful of folks were able to run some of the stages in the Finnish snow.
This video takes you behind the scenes and shows you the other stages and runs you haven't seen anywhere else - the brutal montage.
The saga of Finnish Brutality 2021 is not over, however - we still plan to run the main event in October - the Finnish mud edition. Stay tuned!
Brutality matches are the work of Karl Kasarda of InRange TV, and Finnish Brutality is a collaborative endeavor between InRange & Varusteleka.
We'd like to thank SAKO Finland who helped sponsor the event and provided ammunition.
Polaris Logistics helped get the WWSD2020 carbine there, thank you!
We were thrilled to have Varusteleka, Bloke on the Range, Forgotten Weapons, Les from Polaris Logistics and @jenkarolina as participants!
InRange is entirely viewer supported:

Yeah, opening the ski track into snow is "a bitch with icicles up her arse". That's why the lead guy is changed often (how often depends on the conditions). I think the first guy to shoot a stage was rotated, Ian was the first at one stage?

USMC training doctrine seems to be the most logically sound. Strength, endurance, etc. are very important and worth training for. BUT nothing is more important than being able to hit your target. I think marksmanship and clever tactics are an order of magnitude more useful than brute strength. Folks like her are a force multiplier.

jBurst in laughter with the honest "vittu mitä paskaa" when Eric started. VMP. Also the traditional "vitun vittu". You can't get more natural finnish experience than that. Same with Jenny's "perseestä". Good stuff. Jari seems like a serous skiing nut, well practiced. At first I thought the strategy of focusing mostly on the skiing part which takes a lot of the time and letting the shots suffer a bit was a good strategy, but after seeing how many misses start to stack up over laps, I suppose you lose the time you make up skiing quickly. Would love to see Karl get to do this series of tracks as well.

Usually a sled like that is towed by 3 to 4 men, depending on the terrain and the weight. The "cargo" might be anything from a few boxes of food or ammo to a 10 person tent, stove and firewood. @@Xerdoz Having not tried ski shooting, but having skied for most of my life, it looks like the issue is that poles, while somewhat necessary for balance, get in the way of shooting. I don't think its the type of ski, since XC skis would just make you loose your balance in deep snow.
@Xerdoz
@Xerdoz 3 жыл бұрын
@@inund8 These "forest skis" or whatever you wanna call them are wider and heavier and usually longer as well than normal cross-country skis. Of course the poles get in the way as well but just moving your feet around and swinging the skis around is much faster and easier with normal cross-country skis. Of course the skis themselves don't really cause any hinderance to the actual shooting just on the mobility and movement.
