Sir props to you for the honesty. Too many people see a great work and do not understand the time behind the dream. He clearly said take your time and treat it like a hobby. My in living room set up took 10 years lol, but its amazing. 7.2.2 atmos. Just be patient and take steps everyday towards a goal. Congratulations my man, you did a great job!!!!!

I’ve been a bit obsessed with watching home theater tours for a while now. I’ve found that my preference has changed though. At first I was all about the gear. I wanted to see the cool higher end gear. But, now I’m more into the rooms. Anyone can go out and buy expensive gear if they have the resources, but the room is what really can make it unique and special. So I just want to see something cool and something different. This room is definitely super cool.

@@BuildMontage Yea, I’ve probably seen most, if not all, of them. I do like the way you to do it though. Some have a tendency to do long form videos with a lot of discussion. I like the shorter style videos. Then can always do a follow up discussion in another video like you did here.
@BuildMontage
@BuildMontage 5 ай бұрын
Yes, my shorter videos take a lot more work to produce because there is a script involved, so learning about the room and then condensing it into a 8-15 minute video depending is always tricky but I find that format works. This video is only the 3rd one of it's kind on my channel, and even that was heavily edited if you couldn't tell, to cut out any dead space, rambling etc - plus showing b-roll footage overlaid while we spoke - this video took me 3 weeks to edit.

My God that room is so cool! The lights on the wall, the programming and $1.50 per foot LEDs are pretty sweet. He did a great job with all those.

Great video. Beautiful room, great DIY project for the handy ones! Fully concur about video games rocking the HT room. Explosions in FPS games are giving the subwoofers a workout! One piece of advice on my end based on my own home theater project… don’t bother about 2 extra Atmos speakers. 4 are plenty enough. No incremental value going from 4 to 6 unless your room is huge, which doesn’t seem to be the case. You’re much better off spending your money on an extra subwoofer! Or upgrading your central speaker (the most important one). Just my 2 cents. Enjoy your beautiful room with family and friends!

The tinkering journey is fun. You're not gonna learn everything about kit or acoustics in a week, and people don't talk enough about personal preference with HT. eg. I don't watch movies at reference 85dB, 75dB is plenty loud enough for me.

That's a really amzing home theater. I love the star ceiling. The wall panels look really cool but I would turn them off during a movie. The maximum black level a projector can deliver is the black level of the room. So any light at all in the room raises your black level floor. So no point in upgrading your projector for black level if you have LEDs projecting light back on to your screen. It's great to see someone so passionate about Home Theater. I really wish I had a home with more space. I've turned my living room into a home theater.
@diyhometheater4199
@diyhometheater4199 6 ай бұрын
Yeah I turn them way down or off for movies, the black floor on this projector isn't great. I can put my hand up in the beam and see a shadow easily against an all black screen.
