My biggest issue with FSD right now is that it disregards emergency vvehicles. Also pretty annoyed with lack of school zone recognition and picking up speed limit signs that don't apply to my lane.

Yeah, and a recent update makes it speed too much in low speed limit areas. I'm not *necessarily* against speeding on these particular roads, but for the fact that there are often speed traps. And there doesn't seem to be a way to tell it to respect the speed limit at low speeds and speed more freely with traffic on the highway. It's getting better, though. Just not quite there yet.

No, a Tesla cannot break any rules because It’s only assisting the driver. It’s like if you set cruise control to 10 miles over the speed limit you can’t tell the cop well cruise control did it. All current Teslas have a steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and brake pedal. If the automatic driving is going to do something not acceptable, it’s up to the human behind the wheel to ensure it doesn’t. It’s a good feature because it has the ability to maintain 360° awareness with quicker reaction time but it still doesn’t have the full mental capacity of a human

Regardless, if the cop was going to "be nice" and push the car out of the street, at night, with his emergency lights blinding oncoming drivers, he should have gotten some help from another policeman to drive along beside the disabled car before pushing it out into the path of oncoming traffic. Alternatively, he could have blocked all the lanes with cones, assuming he had some in his car.

In Florida (My state and same as the vehicle in this video) it is required to vacate the lane closest to any vehicle with flashing lights(Even if the hazards are activated on a civilian vehicle) if at all possible or slow down. This driver should have switched lanes and should have never even been driving in the passing lane because he wasn't passing anyone.

@@slowercuber7767 Of course, maybe that dead car was in an extremely dangerous position and thus time was of the essence to move it out of the way. Time to get cones, or help from others may have meant disaster. Perhaps moving that dead car immediate was the best of two bad options. Now why did the video taping driver not slow down sooner upoin seeing the cop car, why did that driver not stop with hazard lights on to block the road from other cars hitting the dead car being pushed, why did that driver not assist removing that dead car from the road. I know I would have done that.

The parked car has a black trunk lid and door handles and a sticker in the bottom right corner of the back windshield, and the near miss car had a silver trunk lid, silver door handles, no spoiler, sticker or visor, and the rims are black. Bot the same car at all.

It’s normal for some drivers in the USA. People drive very emotionally here. They take the spot around their car like private property and they must defend it. Also it’s not uncommon to see vigilante drivers trying to enforce traffic rules.

In the first video, this really underscores the wet/snow traction problems with the required tires for the Tesla. Out of necessity for LRR (low rolling resistance, which maximizes range) the trade-off is poor traction in wet, cold, or snowy conditions. Translation, if you have a Tesla product unless you've opted for grippier tires and a sacrifice is range, then SLOW THE HELL DOWN.

When I see how US people drive, I am happy that we have in Germany/Europe a long and hard driver education. In Germany about 21 hours of classroom teaching and a minimum of 12 x 45 minutes practical driving, but most need 15-20 x 45 minutes driving with a teacher until they can apply for the test, where more than a third fail and have to redo a part of it.

@@robertbennett2796 Sometimes a lack of infrastructure causes pedestrians to need to cross where there isn't a crosswalk. I'm not saying that you should slow down if a pedestrian is actively looking to safely cross, just be ready to slow down/stop if the pedestrian begins to reasonably cross. It tends to get written so pedestrians use common sense, and then drivers need to be aware of them.

I would agree but this is on a highway at 2:30am at least here in Texas that pedestrian does NOT have the right of way In Texas, pedestrians do have the right of way when they are in marked crosswalks, unmarked crosswalks at intersections, and when they are following pedestrian control signals. However, outside these scenarios, pedestrians must yield the right of way to vehicles on the road. Texas Transportation Code §552.005,

#14 looks like a classic FSD failure. My M3 has really good days and really bad days; no in between. Some days it'll require no interventions, when on other days on the same route it'll try to run red lights, slam on the brakes at green lights, and turn in front of oncoming traffic.

As far as FSD goes it definetly needs a LOT of work, it’s great and for the most part (probably around 80-95% of times) has no issues. However it is no where near the ability to not be supervised. It mixes up stop lights if the turns aren’t 90 degrees. It does not see potholes or smaller objects in the road that can still damage the car. It needs some work for emergency vehicles and construction zones still as well… that’s what I have noticed anyway during my last 14,000 miles of driving, highway driving and switching interstates or highways works almost flawlessly based on my experience. Just needs more work on intercity.

I submitted the #14 clip. Regardless of having FSD on or not it's still driver's error. The driver was approaching the intersection at slow speeds and had all the time in the world to stop and you are supposed to take over if anything goes wrong. Now I don't think this driver had FSD since previous to that he was speeding up and attempting to get infront of every vehicle infront of him. I think it's more of a case of being careless and not paying attention at all.

The car ran red light at 4:30 possibly only have enhanced autopilot as it doesn’t stop at red light , it meant for highway use only . Enhanced auto cost 10k 2 years ago and not available anymore but tesla refuses to transfer them to fsd even FsD being cost 8k rn. They would charge xtra for it.
