I understand your pain lol. Gen 1 built motor here (low compression pistons, rods, injectors, valve springs, blah blah) capable of 500whp on c16 but currently having fun spooling 300 on pump gas for safety ✌🏻 There are days I wish I just bought an H2 and flashed it but it wouldn’t be as high potential and not nearly as memeable. Best of luck on yours! Clean build
@joesti76072 жыл бұрын
Thanks yammie, you should take the busa to a half mile event when its done. They are a ton of fun and give you a lot of open testing area to really dial it in on race gas. The h2 is a fun machine but totally different than a turbo busa. Both are very fun bikes.

After doing a 900hp build with my sti, then breaking two transmissions last year, I know the feeling of spending money to have a fun toy. But it was all worth it, because it makes me smile every time I drive the car.

Super hyped for this build, good luck with everything! Also really nice to see the cost and all. I got a gen 3 a bit ago and figured in a year or two when I'm used to the power might look into a turbo kit after these supply shortages go away (im assuming kits for the gen3 wont be far out), not gonna be as wild as 600hp though haha.

I finally finished the whole video. Not trying to be a know it all just going through the same steps as you with a boosted bike so just offering the tips and help. I seen the 2 solenoids for boost control but didn't hear you say which way you were going? compressed air or Co2 on wastegate dome or boost reference form the turbo compressor housing? CO2 on the dome is the way to go. you can use a little 2psi spring in the gate for low power and have it ramp to 30+psi with co2 for max power. As for the drag max. Those tires seem to love highly prepped sticky surfaces. At my local track a few have taken them off as the track still wasn't sticky enough for the tire to hook. You said it wouldn't be a track bike (minus the air strip, They don't prep) is why I say this. look into the Shinko hook up or the hook up pro. for a little longer life of the tire the Hook up should do great on the street.
@peterherrington33002 жыл бұрын
Agreed on the shinko Pro. I run a 550 hp busa & the drag max wouldn't hook well. Shinko with 20 psi is like velcro. Good call

love the build I watch boosted cycle performance and the updates on your bike. As for the ported Cylinder head comment. A ported head would help (lowering boost pressure, lowering heat and a bit better flow) but its not needed because why spend the extra money for the little bit of flow the port offers when you can just shove another psi of boost into and and make the difference up. a port on a boosted bike is when you are trying to get every last hp.

Sick build. Your first "smackdown" should be 650ib and EJR. Hahaha. Great video. It would be awesome if any bike manufacturer would offer a "race" build straight from the factory. All these mods you discussed for approximately $42k, I was looking at the Ducati Corsa V4 SP. And that only has 214 hp for $37k. Looks like investing in a used bike with a vision is the best course of action when time and patience is on your side.

U need to look into putting wheelie control on the bike alot of drag racers use it . It's a Lazer that points down at the ground mounted on your front wheel when the bike starts to pick up the Lazer sensor kicks in and breaks up the fuel air ratio to bring the bike back down

$40k is nothing money wise for what your getting, dudes pay $5-10k more than that for lame 130hp lawnchair heated grip Harleys or 205hp R version Ducatis. You have a bike that will take down anything except the gnarliest roll race exotics. Boosted Performance in Houston does awesome stuff. I was in Houston last July and tried to stop in there but weather/holiday/he is super busy. I got my '11 black/red Busa for $7500 w 3k miles and the Gsxr Tail kit already done on it. I might go your route w it next and ship her to Houston from Socal. Its cool to see you build this and have the perspective of modded H2s to comment on.
