I love how , during the heat of the day , this guy anchors and just chills. It totally reminds me of nearly every fishin trip I took with my dad !! He would do the same thing. Nice trip man , you caught lots of different species and many of them !! Never knowing what might be on the end of your line !!!? YEAH , THOSE DAYS ARE THE BEST !!!!! Oh and btw , when you said look at that Giant black crappie , I expected something like 16" - 17" .. That one looked about like 11". A keeper though , nice !!

Loving the smallmouth action on the Holston (Not to be confused with the South Holston). Any trout to be had here?
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately it’s too warm for the trout on that section of the river. However, it is an epic place for warm water fish.

What is the diference between white bass and wipers?
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher Жыл бұрын
A white bass is a much smaller bass. They get up to 2 or 3 lbs at the biggest. When you mix a stripper and a white bass you get a wiper or hybrid. Much larger and more powerful.

Good morning, is the water up enough for a boat to put in at JS steam plant ramp Very good video, thanks for sharing
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher Жыл бұрын
The water was very low. A few birds were able to make it up there but it’s definitely dicey.
@nathanielgrindstaff1369

Could you get a boat up in there now? Wanting to go but not wanting a busted lower unit
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher Жыл бұрын
It’s very dicey, if your boat runs very shallow, there’s a good chance you can make it up, but it’s easy to hit rocks right now. I would suggest waiting until it rains.

That summarises literally every spring on Rogersville. A guy just won a professional bass tournament because of the very spot I just filmed on.

Hey, Michael why is there so much water in your kayak? Is that normal? I know nothing about those, seems like it would be quite annoying to get your feet wet constantly. Is a drain plug missing or something?
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher
@MichaelKaal-TriFisher Жыл бұрын
With my particular kayak, if I pedal really hard, I splash a lot of water into the front part of the kayak. It’s nothing to worry about. It’s deafly not sinking.
