I mean lore-wise he was very relevant but even though he’s probably my favorite boss in the whole game I was hoping there was a little more to him. Think he deserves more health for sure.

I'm torn on it. He gets cutscenes, voice acting and a ton of lore. More than most bosses ever get. The fight is not Malenia difficulty but sometimes it's nice to just get a solid, fun boss that doesn't overstay its welcome or have any crazy bs. I appreciate it.

His phase 1 attack chains are almost fully remixed, and phase 2 speaks for itself if you know the vanilla fight

Ok but wth does "Prime" even mean in this context lol, you could argue that Messmer is actually in his prime when you fight him in his first phase and becomes even _stronger_ than that in his second.
