If Fontaine and Sumeru taught me anything, it's that the first banner of a region is skippable. Lyney is incredibly unimpressive, and Tighnari is solid but became a standard character. Plus, the first region character just gets power crept way too fast by its own region. So I'm going for Emilie because I want a burning team and the trial made her seem REALLY fun.

People should know that most of the damage comes from the C6 Furina with 70k health. If you dont have her this high invested, your Emilie will not show this damage

I pulled for her. I will say I don’t think she’s worth it without her weapon if you’re not willing to do that there are definitely other characters that don’t need their signature weapons, but this girl definitely becomes a much more powerful character with her signature.

I don't think so, Kazuha is actually good for CC (due to Emilie's skill is kinda single target) and also buff pyro DPS for example Xiangling. So, it will help the overall team damage

I think she a good denro sup dps. She's not upgrade burning damage, she use burning reaction to increase her own damage. So, it's useless if go with a team have pyro dps (like arlec, hutao...)

Still, burning can't crit without Nahida C2 cast skill. What the joke burning promoted character than designed raw damage can't advantage reaction damage like Melt and Vaporize

The burning damage ticks itself aren't Emilie's dendro turret damage ticks and as such aren't relevant to that aspect of Nahida's C2. Like so many characters released, Emilie will have more team relevance in later patches. Without going into detail, there is already an upcoming main dps being beta tested which also takes advantage of the burning state. This is just how Mihoyo releases their characters. It helps create a sense of fear of missing out for those who end up skipping a character only for them to end up much better than originally received then have to wait half a year or longer for a rerun banner. It's a bit of a scummy approach but this is a pattern older players are used to.

The crit situation that nahida’s c2 provides, well that’s typical archon kits. Pretty much everyone of them have an insane c2

@@tree_eats yeah… but the zhongli’s c2 basically makes where his shield is even compatible with co-op if not mistaken, providing teammates a shield. Raiden’s burst gets a nice dmg increase, basically yae’s c6 is the same just skill version. And nahida well already discussed her c2. I do think emilie can at least apply dendro more often or atk with it. Considering she’s supposed to be a sub-dps, and her passive only buffs herself, should hit more often. Once again going to yae, she could place her skill 3 times raise it’s lvl to at least 3 instantly and it atk pretty often. I don’t mind emilie but her kit could have been much better
