I think it literally is a crime people don't know. From what I understand (happy to be corrected) Ray knowingly infected people with HIV and through legal action one or some of them prevented the Badlands albums from being re-released. A crying shame as I got the first Badlands album when it came out and it was an incredible record. A super-group playing super-songs.

Prayers for a full recovery for Jake E. Lee. Master Guitarist Jake needs to get on the road soon. The world is better when Jake plays. This preamp is stellar. Plug into the PA and you have a great tone. I like the preset with Jake’s tone. It is full on 1980s.

How can I evaluate this pedals range of sounds if you also use it with other pedals to alter its sound quality and performance? Hearing the pedal alone would be a better choice for me to decide if it’s for me and what I COULD use it with…wish you would just play through the pedal and let me decide….

Not really what it was designed for. It's not a "pedal", it's an actual preamp. If using with an actual amp, it is voiced to work best plugged into the effects loop return, bypassing your amps preamp.

I’m getting the sense from the video reviews so far that this release is “meh” not very exciting after digging into it. I was hoping for, at least, a mind blowing channel 2 sound with the new TS boost. It sounds great, however, if the unit is not providing any real large difference from the X and D then why pay $100 bucks more for the symbol? There needs to be a proper demo of all three at the same time to help everyone out with their choice like if you put a pedal in front of the D will it get the J gain with TS boost sound? Don’t forget the Green model (a Mick Mars Dr. Feelgood Jose modded model?) that was in the “I spy” pic with Neilsen and Leon Todd in it. I’m just not feeling it so far.

Why should I believe anything you guys say? You demoed the UAFX Lion and Pete gushed on and on about how good it was- a few months later you had it in a shootout with other pedals and here's what Pete had to say about it- "It sounds broken, I don't like that." So apparently, to get what you guys really think of a pedal- it has to not be the focus of the video. If it's the reason for the video, the main focus of it- you guys are going to say it's awesome and you love it- even if in reality you think "It sounds broken". I get it, you have to have good relationships with your vendors and can't afford to do a video that insults their product, but then why should I turn to you for reviews? Your hands are tied, I need someone who has no relationship with UAFX or Freidman or any of them- no reason to kiss their arse. Bedsides, imo the Lion sounds great so- apparently me and Pete have different tastes anyway.

As a gun owner and toter, I understand your concern. But unfortunately, the gun laws only keep the guns out of legal citizens hands. You can build a gun with a lathe in your garage. Make handguns and assault rifles illegal, that illegal business will boom. Criminals will always get the guns to do the crimes. I'm not sure what the answers are.

This is so limited honestly, I would just want a modelling or capture unit at this point. They let you load your own IRs anyway and even if this has tubes in it, it’s still not going to be pushing air like you would through a cab unless hooked up that way (which you could just do with a modellor anyway). The fact the unit can’t remember settings blows my mind. You’re basically stuck with two channels that are set.
