Really enjoyed that video , mostly because I just reloaded with 4 Whopper Plopper’s , Monkey Butt , Bone, Bluegill and the Loon. It’s been an expensive $$$ couple months and I love it! Switching between Plopper’s and Choppo’s has been fun. Plopper gets Big Fish and Choppo gets more fish, but smaller. Both effective.

One of the better examples of how Bass love a Whopperplopper. Larry Dahlberg is the 'Big fish legend' for me since he since an InFisherman TV episode in the mid-80s demonstrating how to work a giant Roland Martin Big double willow leaf spinnerbait on ice out monster (30+) pike, in 2 ' of water. Working the shallow bays in some Canadian system north of his home state of Minnesota.

Yeah it looks like a blast and I'm going to get me one tomorrow and try it in this little Pond out by my house... i caught a 6 1/2 lb Pond Donkey Sunday out there on my 2nd Cast with a black and blue Senko and I was on my four-wheeler so I just took my little ultra light set-up with me not really expecting to catch anything and thank god I had 10 lb line on it or i woulda lost em.. i just about shit my pants when i thought my pole was gonna snap, but, it actually did a good job! I have been fishing the whopper plopped for over a year and have never even gotten a bite on it. I must be doing something wrong. I can throw it and then come back five minutes later with a buzz bait or frog and catch fish. I just don’t understand. It looks and sounds pretty though 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great vid, man! One tip tho. When its close to the boat, dont reel in fast. I caught my pb right next to the boat after he had attacked it before! They usually let the plopper float by them and then attack it from behind. So there is a delay. Solid vid tho! Great Job!

I was watching the carna fishing family channel where I found whopper ploppers. If you reel it in nonstop you won’t get as many bites . You want to let the sound attract fish and give them time to move towards it. I know very old post.

Good video bud, I’m no professional. But just a couple of observations. May or may not be useful, but personally my hookup ratio with a spinning reel and rod is not that good with top water. I am confident if you would throw that on like a 7 foot medium with some backbone to it i think your hookups will increase. And the other thing i think that would help is slowing down just a little bit. Top water fishing it’s so hard. And the explosions that come on that bait makes it even harder. But you were going straight to another school, and reeling extremely fast which also decreases hook ups. I don’t mean to sound like a know it all, personally i love when fellow bass fisherman give me tips. Sometimes they right and sometimes they aren’t. Regardless you got a sub in me after seeing the first video. Keep up the good work

What's the deepest depth of water a Whopper plopper can be used on?

It just depends on where the fish are staged in the water column. When the fish have been stage high in the water column I’ve caught fish on topwater in 20ft deep areas
