@@VicBarry image quality, stabilization and I do a lot of trail running in all kind of weather. But im not 100 % sure because of the overheating issues and short filming time. Seems good that I can easily mount it on my chest.

Hi Vic, nice video. Wth current firmware version 01.01.08.10, when you connect the usb cable to a pc, you see two drives (internal and microsd card) directly without needing to extract the microsd card as you suggest in the video. HTH

The first time I plugged the action 2 power module (connected to the action 2) to the computer via usb, both Sd cards showed up…. And then now only the Sd card shows up. … so weird but great tip

today i tried getting videos off the internal storage ( no sd card) of the Action 2 , by plugging in a usbc adaptor into my smartphone. For whatever reason the files didnt show up. Why is that?

Try a different cable. Sometimes adapters can cause all kinds of issues

@@VicBarryThanks. I had some "Linux, not recognised" thing come up, telling me to format card, so I did, then lost my footage😵‍💫 Are you sure I should be able to get it straight from internal storage without needing an SD card plugged in? Im using a pixel smartphone.

Yeah. Haven’t done it on a phone but direct to computer it’s not an issue. The phone might be the problem.

So, if you can get access to internal storage through the USB, then I'm guessing that you can only power the camera with the internal battery only. Correct? My camera is powered through the USB and I'm tired of buying micro SD cards.

Hey Andy, thank you 🙏 it very much depends on the actual temperature of where you’re recording. I had the action 2 and GoPro 10 out yesterday 50 degree (f) weather and zero issues with over heating

I can copy to the sd card on mine. Ever since the beginning. When I connected the camera a week ago it did a software update and I always had the option to copy from internal memory to the sd card!v And if you pause the video at 1:38, you can see that feature. Just press copy to sd card!

I figured, it should be possible to select the storage media on the touch screen or if they had been really smart, they would have presented 2 storage devices to the PC. But hey .. neither of that works. I guess they didn't think about that one, the same they didn't think it would be necessary to turn the footage when streaming or using webcam mode, if the camera is upside down (which it is, when it's in the necklace) .... Made a video on that yesterday. Quizzed support today. Now they want me to send back the camera for analysis.
