Be sure to check the video description for all the tools you need to make the board! Thanks all!

I strive for the amount of pure joy you exude in this video. I'm excited for your secret go project!

"There's no reason to make anyone pay for this. This is for the Go community." Absolute queen. I'll be sure to share this with my local club.

Great idea. There is also a sort of wood material for the 3d printer instead of the plastic wire.

nice! amazing quality :) subbed to your alt channel btw, good luck with that! a robotics m.sc. myself so I'm really excited about all your content

I don't own a 3d printer, but I would have done the 4 quadrants in a jigsaw piece shape, to give it extra stability. If possible, the extra bits could follow the board lines, so that it doesn't show up on the board

Hey goblet 😁 awesome video. Your cool

I'm about to start building one with my dad. I've always been in touch with my darker side, and the lighter boards drive me nuts. I can actually respect anyone though who makes their own board. From the KZbin videos I've seen, they're hard to do.

So, making a physical interface for online play? Because that was one of my potential covid projects and one of the first steps was requiring a custom 3d printed goban. It's the only need for one I can think of =)

Is it possible to paint the lines? If so, what tool to use?

Could you possibly use heat and even distribution of weight to relieve the warping in the plastic?
@InSente3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think my settings were a bit wonky. 3D printing is an art haha. Ideally the warping wouldn't exist in the first place. But I feel like maybe you could get it pliable, but thrn I'd worry about deforming the lines

i just print my go boards onto an A4 but this works too :P

Oh I hope the project is a hyperbolic board 👀

Have you thought about using magnets to keep the boards togehter? Would be really nice if on the back would be a 9x9 so you can play a 19x19 or 4 9x9 simultaniously. :)

Step 1: Have the money to spend on a 3D printer Jkjk great video 😁

Lololol! You'd be surprised though, mine was only $220, which is like honestly crazy cheap given what it can do

let me guess, the big project is a "real board AI"/go player robot?
@pascalleveille3 жыл бұрын
I just used a plank of wood and a sharpie for my boards lol, low tech solution

My brain: overcomplicating things since 1993! 🤣

@@InSente Nah, I had to ask someone to cut it with a cutting bench, and drawing perfect lines is really hard. I made around 5 or 6 boards, and it takes around 1-2 h to trace the lines so there are as straight as possible

I’m guessing you are trying to create an AI go board that highlights the AI moves underneath the board.
