This is living, and so few of us get to do so. The townhouse is beautiful.
@nobilesnovushomo582 жыл бұрын
I’m just glad someone chose to keep it this way and buy it because it prevents another Bill Gates mansion, or the disproportionate amount of internal guttings of neo classical buildings across NYC. Buy a room at the Knickerbocker and get a modernist room.
@tudorjason2 жыл бұрын
$33 million actually seems well-priced for everything you get. It's beautiful, historic, and large. With so much space, you could easily turn some bedrooms into media, exercise, and game rooms. And the basement the home no doubt has could be converted to an indoor swimming pool. The only things I would wish it to have are a rooftop terrace and a garage.

There was a small problem with ghosts, back in the 80s. You know, built on a burial ground, didn't move the bodies...blah blah. But they've sprayed for poltergeists since, so it's all fine now.

What a spectacular building! I'm glad it hasn't been too modernised inside, yet I'm not at all partial to the diarrhoea tones of the interior decoration. Pure hues are always so much nicer than muddy tones.

Good job with the renovations, preserving the look and feel of the original 1903 details, yet with some modern updates where appropriate. IMHO, the main drawback is the neighborhood. It's a decent neighborhood for offices etc, but not as desirable as the UES or CPW where it comes to location.
