We had a deer crash into our deck around 2am. We didn't even think the loud noise we heard was an animal. It sounded more like a tree hit the house. Let's hope this doesn't happen at this house. I do love how it blends in with the woods though.

Well This looks absolutely gorgeous inside and outside 💖 My concern is that birds struggle greatly with reflective surfaces and may well get injured by flying into the mirror glass because they can't see it. I had a highly reflective washing line pole that was wider than the average one, I lost two nuthatches to it and was devastated. Discussed with the RSPB (🇬🇧) and they said to paint the washing line pole to stop the reflection. It was a mixture of their type of flight pattern and removing the reflection and it stopped it happening. I'm still upset about their loss now, such beautiful wee birds 😔❤️

ÖÖD houses use UV film stickers that reflect ultraviolet light, which birds can see but humans can’t. When light reflects, birds understand that there is an object on their way and they'll change direction.

The website states, you can’t see inside during daylight and there are blackout curtains for the evening. Bathroom has, reflective mirror tint on the outside to ensure full privacy.

I live in Chattanooga and knew about the tree houses but not the mirrored one. They are so cool. UT I knew they would be booked up because when I checked on the tree houses a while back they were booked up for a long home.

Great video, Levi. Any idea what type of product the mirrored glass is? Overseas, they have mirrored glass that is very thick and durable, with excellent R values and protection in storms. Might this be that type of glass?

Nope. From their website: Birds often cannot recognize windows or mirrors and therefore might hurt themselves. To prevent that from happening, we use UV film stickers on all ÖÖD houses. These stickers reflect ultraviolet light, which is visible to birds, but not visible to the human eye. When light is reflected from the mirror glass birds understand there is an object on their way and change their direction. Our goal has always been to blend into nature without hurting it.
