I feel like this house and its super weird layout could be perfect for some type of group housing like maybe a group home or sorority/fraternity house with its 42 bedrooms. Someone out there will want it! 🤞🏼

Some how you have to get a hallway to separate the bedrooms. Over all I give this house a 5 out of 10 the way it sits without being repaired. The apartment downstairs with its own garage is brilliant. There is a lot of apartments your lucky to have a driveway for your tenant. I can’t wait to see this one repaired and ready to be resold

Aside from the funky colors, and the way it's layed out, it looks like a winner for flipping. It reminds me of a Duplex and could be sold as such, but that may take more money to get it in Duplex Condition. Good buy Jon! Can't wait to see how it will look when finished.

This could be easily be a 8+ Bedroom House if it was in the budget. Look at that wasted space, so much potential especially with a bigger kitchen pushed back to the open space in the sunroom.

The bathroom window is glass block. Most people HATE it. I LOVE it. Let’s light in and gives privacy. Though it was patented in 1886, it did not become popular until the 1930s and 1940s. It was a very popular “Art Deco” design element. Had my home, built in 1930, not been Craftsman style, I would have introduced glass block into it.

I'd start with a quick sketch of what the house was before the left side garage/upper BR's and all the rear enclosures. I'd get with the city to see what if anything was permitted before I started making plans.

Wow. My husband drove for Allied Van Lines and we been to homes like that to move them you know inventory all furniture and boxes and move them to some other state. We would get lost in the houses sometimes so many rooms and bathrooms. And we had moved people to huge homes like that with so many rooms and it was like amazing what some people can do to their homes or have done to their homes. And what a job for a moving van driver and usually 2 to 3 helpers. Many times e got to these places and did not bring enough help and one day job turn into 2 or 3 days. That house gave me good memories.

Have you ever remodeled a house as a space saver idea ? Build in between studs as a big tiny house? Space save furniture ect… space save kitchen pantry are with freezer area build in closets with build in dressers, space save pull out cabinets in bath room cold storage area? In kids or in family room building pull out bins in between studs?

Wow is right! I have never seen a house chopped up so much. Good luck with making sense of it. You definitely need to close some doors off and take some walls down. I would like to see it when all down.

I absolutely look forward to seeing the finish product! Q & A Video: Can you talked about when people do work on their own that hasn’t been inspected? How does that play into the resale of a home? What do you recommend? People do DIY for many reasons (primarily to cut cost) but walking thought that house there adore things that don’t look up to code!

I actually know some one who did an addition like this for their againg Parents. The couple had a big family ,brought parents in with them. Or it could just be an apartment for extra income.. what ever it'll be a money maker. Good luck looking forward to seeing the end product.

That thing is huge and weird. I think with a bit of work you could extend the upstairs hallway to turn that weird bedroom situation into 3 or 4 rooms. As for all the porch enclosures Idk. And that basement looks like a labyrinth.

The block windows are not so bad, there are older people who like them. I just put some in like two years ago for a woman in both her bathroom and kitchen widows. the odd part was she wanted them in her wall between the bathroom and hallway from floor to ceiling five blocks wide. I do question a paying customer, so give her what she wanted. I feel the same about the gold shower doors, but I'm a curtain type of person my self. Yet in newer bathroom on the lower floor, that glass shower doors look great. But walls in there should be tile al the way around, being half sheet rock look was weird to me. How ever I loved the house over all. I could live in that house. I like the set up, I would live down stairs and put my sons up stairs. As always I wish you the best..

This house was crazy huge😲 I was hoping you would mention the sqft at the end as a nice surprise. I can't imagine what the water press must be like when everyone starts th shower simultaneously. How about when they all flush the toilets simultaneously?😂 The electric bill has to either be really expensive or divided bc if everyone is there at the same time something is bound to happen.

Go from a Bedroom to another Bedroom, with the Different Colors. But for $100.000 that's not too Bad. It's just a Hugh House, But put your Expertise to the Test, it will be a WINNER.

Definitely looks like somebody tried on this house, but maybe they didn't have the skill level money or ambition to finish. I think this is a house you need to show throughout the renovation. Personally I like the colours throughout the house. This is the type of house you go and talk to the neighbors about. At the side driveway, I could definitely tell more was happening at the back of the house, could see the roof. A lot of different areas throughout the US and here in Canada, housing prices have went way up, it doesn't seem like that's happened in your area...

@@JonSchoeller , your so lucky. But I know on the video's and in person. Is two totally different things. But some things I had seen as a KZbin inspector. lol That just gave me red flags. For example, the last bathroom in the addition. Looks so great but they ran short and put in a used vanity. But also your right about the comments you had made at the end of the video. Someone may need that kind of lay out and also like. Where some of us won't. For me my engineering and safety brain goes into overdrive looking at that layout. LOL

Hello Schoeller family! Jon darlin',, that is one crazy house. I would be knocking down walls galore. Looking out a kitchen window to see what?!! I would expand the kitchen out to whatever that room is. And yes, paint it all a nice gray. It's neutral and easy to work with. Buyers can always change it. Going through bedrooms to get to other bedrooms😖😵‍💫🤪is just crazy and ugly!!! That's a very busy house that has great potential to be a large single family home or a mother-daughter home. Can you put more money into it and up the selling price🤔?? The front of the house looks tacky with its mismatched windows and garage doors. That house needs help, and you're the man to do it. I can't wait to see the outcome. 💙💜🧡

I would remove the addition completely. Secondly, I personally HATE "hodgepodge" homes, meaning, homes that have an outer exterior of different building materials, such as brick + siding + stone or any combination of two or more different exteriors. Regardless of how nice it is inside, for me, the exterior would have to be ALL brick or ALL stone or ALL siding, but, again, that's just my own personal preference.
