I immediately ordered a Wired Freedom (white) and was cheaper than Ecells Fire Star even after S&H and taxes plus it’s a better looking bike with updated computer. I guess Ecells didn’t want a disabled Veteran’s business, I’d go with Wired.

I’m retired Navy and they didn’t seem like they wanted to give me a disabled Veteran discount or even want my business because I asked to cancel my order after waiting 2 weeks and they wasn’t trying to convince or keep my business so it is what it is but this Owner David Cleveland is running an aggressive KZbin influencer advertising campaign but forgetting about some of his customers especially those who served like himself. Yeah Im thinking a mid drive might be a better option for what I want (?) Im not into go fast high torque as I prefer logging roads - real trails (within reason) cant/wont expect an ebike to go on trails like motor bikes [just yet] the hill roads around here are pretty much a long climb of around 12 to 18% a little more than a mile long. :o my thinking a hub drive will overheat on that, but maybe an AWD (?) 2 - 750 to 1k watt hubs(?) Im probly dreaming they will do it. After the long climb the road networks go for miles on even to slight 6% grades. thru the trees along ridge tops with great views [yeah Ive ridden them before, but not on a quiet ebike] a 750 watt or better mid drive should do it better and not overheat as much (?) how will a 500 watt mid drive do? I see more of these type lately, for near $2k maybe add a front hub motor to help it? Id like to see these mid drive bike more on yt vids. they are not go fast machines, but they climb, which is more important for some of us.

Use bungee cords to fasten items to racks or whatever. They don't loosen up over bumps or vibrations. They always stay tight. They come in various lengths to suit the situation. I doubt any bag is meant to carry a battery. Adding foam at the bottom of the bag might prevent tearing the fabric but the weight is likely too much for the thread used to hold the bag together.

Honestly, I’ve seen you do so many reviews and just a lot of things in general with electric bikes very good content you got one thing I noticed is that you are most likely telling the truth that that is your favorite electric bike because it fits you you’re very very tall on some of the bikes that you have reviewed You look like a monster standing next to the bike this electric bike looks like it fits you perfectly I also found my favorite electric bike at first. I had the Jetson. J5 electric bike and I did my little upgrades and I still have my fun with it. I just use it for cruising around the block picking up food just biting around riding around staying close to home but my other electric bike it’s a. KBO BREEZE and it’s running on a 48 V 16 amp power system and I’m just waiting for my package to come with my balancer my extension and just in case I’m gonna get some extra XT 60 extensions. I already have the 48 V battery with 20 and hours. I’m mostly doing it for the range but I’m I’m getting I’m getting 40 miles an hour right now it’s kinda strange. I lifted the restriction. I use the code 0510 and what that did was unlocked the top speed for everything all the hard codes pedal assistance crazy alone it gets you to 30 miles like from 0 to 30 in like one minute throttle I get to like 3435 miles an hour if I’m going down a hill forget it I’m going for like 5045 but it’s not about the speed for me. What it is is the range I would’ve bought a whole brand new battery just to keep it with me if the battery ever runs out but then I thought about it it would ruin the fun so I thought about making it a dual battery and that’s what I’m gonna set it up to do this way you could still be a 48 V system with 36 amp hours in total and it’ll keep the top speed pretty fast but I don’t go that fast. I just tested and the only time I’ll go that fast as if I’m riding on the road with the cars I haven’t even like doing that because they’re a bunch of Karen’s they get mad because you’re going in the same speed as them but then it was like that when I was on my my Jetson so even if it was a small bike. They still got mad because I was squeezing through traffic and every time they pass me, they still have to see me when it gets stuck in traffic and I would pass right by them, but I honestly think these cars are throwing glass on the bike roots which forced me to get flat out so I put in all my electric bike tires and since the tires that I have right now 27.5 so I give them 18 ounces each tire on my jets and tires they’re only 14 inches so I gave them 8 ounces each tire this way I don’t have no flats or how can I say it if I’m going crazy speeds and I’m driving alone, cars and stuff I wouldn’t wanna get a flat and something wants to happen to somebody else or me so I try to be as safe as I can and the most safe for me is preventing something before it happens and if you get a I’ll blowout on the back tire or the front tire, you can completely lose your steering and possibly hurt somebody or hurt yourself. Great video loved it.

Very Nice! Iam impressed with the 5 star, been watching it awhile, Buut Im old n stiff and want a step thru Ive been holding off to see ecells ST cruiser - it should be a winner as is the 5 star. Id have gotten the 5 star as Im just super impressed with it (the stock model) 17" sounds fine to me and the cadence sensor sounds good too [the stock version :) ] Buut I prefer the step thru and would want it and more likely Id park the 5 star after I got the ST. that "gurls" version step thru has become my favorite [ Im older now ] waiting to see the ST cruiser model before I buy one. If its like the 5star then only a derailleur is about all Id need. (maybe) *and yeah Ill keep my 750 watt step thru as its my "legal" park n public trail ebike. [should they get picky with us up here in North Idaho] having a couple "purpose" built ebikes is fine (IMO)

Matt did a review on the Wired freedom. It kept shutting down in him because the controller overheated. Also he had a problem with loose wires that shut down the bike. I am sure Stevie Goldman, owner of Wired e-bikes was not happy Matt showed those sections of his test. Most reviewers do not take the bikes they are testing to any high limits. Matt does.

E-Cells has added $300 to that price because of the new tariff , The better buy is the new Wired adding a 15ah battery and the 20ah for 35 ahs with a battery blender , dual piston brakes a programable ped so you can customize your battery % used (great feature) , a more secure suspension , a metal bracket for the headlight , a 45amp controller and a more powerful motor for faster speeds and a through axel with quick release along with a longer axel on rear for a trailer bracket . All this at the same price $2406.00

@@gaboidawg let’s all be honest with ourselves. The ecells is a 3000 dollar bike for cheaper. Of you can get a 2000 dollar wired bike for more than 2000 dollars. That’s what it comes down to.

Huge bummer the price is now $300 more due to tariffs. I'm waiting until hopefully it is reversed soon or won't apply to ebikes.
@SarahJane-y1p5 ай бұрын
If you want it reversed, Vote For President Trump. He is the one who gave e-bikes an exclusion from the tariff in the first place, until it expired June 14th.
@psavar975 ай бұрын
I'd jump on getting a 2024+ Wired freedom before they need to adjust pricing to the tariffs in my personal opinion. And i have a Five-star on order thay I'm looking forward to. Neither political party here in the US are going to be any less antagonistic and trade protectionust any time soon. Eventually possible the e-bike manufacturers find loopholes and ways around the current tariffs, also possible the tariffs are strengthened, it gets built into cost and we all just get used to the new reality and forget about the old one. 2250 $ (add your state tax) is a good deal on either of these bikes IMHO. In July/August it'll be 2500-2600 for either dual battery 60v bike.

the wise will wait. better prices & better upgrades are coming. the tarrif is something they are using to scare ppl to buy it now. [gee has this been done before] yes. yes it has promotes election votes & sales go up
