Very interesting internal look. If your theory is correct, this investor added value only to turn it over to the bank. Maybe he should have paid the mortgage 1st? This is one foreclosure the bank should be happy with...foreclosures usually a mess, not a beauty.

The sad thing about foreclosure is that no matter how long the bank owns it they are not be Holden by law to fix anything or insure it. But the moment it's sold it's reported and insurance companies and the tax assessor and the zoning office will be all over you. Yeah it's a fixer upper but to me that's just funny.

not only that but even tho the house is raised, if your surrounded by flood water how do you get out? No thanks. Also the handles on the cabinets that would go above the refrigerator are crooked. A little detail, but it makes me doubt the overall craftmanship of this house. Many "flip" houses use sub standard materials and the craftsmanship is wanting. I don't care how attractive or modern this house looks, I would never buy it even it were listed for $10

I just looked into a place I saw here in Pierce County, Washington that isn't a foreclosure, but sure looks to be. 2 bed, 2 bath, no outbuildings, 1/2 acre on paved road for $430,000. The place is trashed, needs a ton of work from leaky ceiling damage, to floors, walls and exterior needing repairs. And, it is listed online with a realtor with pictures and everything!!
@TheRealWayneTurner3 ай бұрын
Is it priced appropriately for the area?
@Todd-o8n3 ай бұрын
@@TheRealWayneTurner It seems a bit much, but I'm not in the business, I just drive past it all the time. There's no way I would consider it, at even half the price. The pictures show a severely neglected newer remodel. Almost like squatters were there, but it was home to a firewood selling outfit for several years. Drove by it today and just shook my head, you wouldn't know the inside was trashed from the road.

We've only had one insurance claim in 50 years, and it was after we lost our home to fire. Add up all our premiums over 50 years, and the claim still paid over 6 times more, including paying for a furnished rental home for 9 months while the house was being rebuilt. There's no way we could've recovered without insurance.

Population there has only grown by 4000 in the past 34 years and has been in decline for the past two. Average income is just under $44000.00 annually. In my opinion it is not a good place to invest $200,000.00 in a home. Please investigate more than the house itself.

Homes are overvalued. No surprise it’s foreclosed. My grandfather lived in a small town three hours away from Dallas. Housing prices in that small town went up 30%- 50% in the past two years. It’s real estate investors. Small town folks don’t make that much, much less can afford to pay higher property taxes. Here’s the rationale: Old houses below 100 grand are now 200 or 300 grand in a short amount of time. So the housing payment in the foreclosure featured in the video is 2,000 plus dollars living in the boondocks in a flood zone. Your mortgage or housing payment has to be 30% of your income. A person who works at Alsups or Dairy Queen or Dollar General like in small towns is not bringing home close to a hundred grand annually, even if they were the manager. So now is probably not the best time to buy even if it is a low down payment.
