what a magnificent home. as a former pastry chef and current/forever foodie/cook, i'm in love with her kitchen, dining room and incredible garden. the mix of classic and contemporary art is really well curated and enviable. she and Hugo have immaculate taste. and that VIEW. i will be coming back here to wishfully drool all over my keyboard often.

To me the perfect country house - just the absolute perfect balance between coziness and relaxed elegance. Beautilully decorated without the frequently whitnessed clutter of just too many cushions, fabrics, patterns and deco items. Bravo!

Such a calm, lovely lifestyle, away from the bustle of a city. She is fortunate to be able to consult with experts to handles aspects of this charmed life. So many of us would love to 'have it all', but with some creativity and planning can carve a comfortable refuge with this vibe in the space that we have. Wonderful inspiration. Not being too fussy goes a long way.

This just validates that America and Great Britain are separated by a common language. To be fair, we have a lot of decorators on this level, but I live in flyover country, so they rarely step foot where I live. Provincial American taste is rather undernourished. People of means are fixated on black house exteriors with minimal interiors. Always a relief to see "English" done with finesse.

Don't be so harsh on yourself. I've seen provincial English taste and it isn't that far off from provincial American. I must say though that to have access to people like Robert Kime or Camilla Guinness, you need to be quite comfortably off to start with.

Just watched this muted in order to concentrate on seeing. Several things are jarring : - birks & straw hat & donegal tweed jacket? - fire in the fireplace ? - huge flower arrangement on the middle of the dining table? - child profile cutout in child’s’ bedroom instead of parents’bedroom? Not overwhelmed with decorative choices regarding art, paint color and fabrics. Otherwise beautiful house and grounds. Special love for large quarry tiled floors and the venician ceiling veranda. And to conclude, I am flattered to learn that chopping different colored tomatoes & soft goat cheese & aromatic herbs & pepper from the mill, good olive oil plus fleur de sel is considered restaurant worthy since it’s only an assemblage of ingredients which I do all summer long.

I kind of like some of these H and G videos but sometimes they come across as borderline parodies! All the name dropping, the way people speak with the most ridiculous choice of words, and the unrestrained display of wealth. It is meant to be a showcase for good taste but it ends up being quite distasteful unfortunately. I think when you are this lucky in life, it is better not to rub it in people’s nose.
