I grew up about an hour's drive from the speedway. Been going since the late 1960s watching the USAC Sprint cars. I feel lucky and hope you all make it here someday.

Warrnambool is in Alansford and has no traffic lights! And Eldora seems to have a pit gate unlike most US tracks. Maybe you should compare base track safety with Australian tracks. Our way exceed most US ones. Waikerie or Bordertown way exceed most tracks used for WoO and High Limit

Good video. I been there twice, and I enjoyed everything about the tracks, except for the track being in the middle of nowhere (explain how they can get away without curfew if needed). The closest commercial airport to Eldora Speedway is Dayton, which is about an hour drive. But it is also a 2-hour drive to bigger ones in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Columbus.

I love Eldora Speedway, ive been there 6 times and loved each time i went. I remember my first time their on the finial night i seen a shooting star and wished Steve Kinser would win in his first year racing for Tony Stewart. Steve won that years kings royal race on the finial lap passing for the lead into turns 1 and 2 it was incredible.

@@SprintCarHub its an iconic place, fast but still affordable and the food it good on top of all the vendors and foodtrucks make it almost have a county fair feel to it, it used to be the worlds fastest by time, now its valloosa in florida which has no where near the banking, though its said that both volusa and eldora are just under a half mile unless you mesure the very outside wall, and maybe one day eldora will rightfully reclame the record for fastest half clay ovel. now a few things, the mile they never finished and tony dont own that land, it was to be a paved track but the popularity of mile tracks was waining even back then so earl cut his losses, so to speak, I asked jokingly to tony in person at the fort wayne rumble he said even if they did race a few times on it it would have little passing and make for a boaring race for the modern audiance, even if they had it for silver crown racing which the 1/2 is already large enough for, it would not justify the mile for once a year, number 2 I was told the banking origionaly before they took the top lip off it was 25-26 degrees but it went all the way to the wall like a bowl so they would litteraly ride the wall guys like sammy swindel and steve kinser, it gets dusty though but on a good day is lighting fast and fits lots of people, even on the inside of the pits and the building in the middle has offices medical emergency rooms the media center and several things all rolled into 1 as well as the viewing platform and concession stand on top, also the payout office I belive its almost a racing city.
