As a public educator, it's hilarious how the general public think running a school is as easy as filling a few buildings with kids and teachers. I've traveled to and observed some of the best STEAM programs in the country and the most effective practices are low class sizes, designated time for teachers to collaborate, and significant funding for hands-on learning projects that incorporate professional-grade tools.

I was raised in a Cult (JWs) from 8 to 27 and Donda Academy is setting off a lot of alarm bells, especially when it comes to the curriculum. It gives a lot of room for children to be indoctrinated, especially if they don't have outside information they can use to question and if need be debunk what they're being taught. Kanye's recent behavior resonates deeply with me because I'm Bipolar 1 and while I never did or said anything as wild as he has when I didn't have my diagnosis and meds, I have to see everything through the lens of an unmedicated Manic episode. He doesn't get a Pass, though. Just because someone is mentally ill doesn't mean that they shouldn't face the consequences of their actions. He has said and done some fucked up shit that shouldn't be swept under the rug. I hope that the parents and other adults in the student's lives are giving them the right info and survival skills that they aren't learning at school. I also hope that Kanye starts taking his meds again and speaking with reputable mental health professionals for his own sake and for the sake of his kids.

I feel like Kanye should really start doing LLCs (Limited Liability Company(s) ) for his businesses because that way his personal actions wouldn’t affect the businesses. It’s dangerous because there are kids of different ages in the school. If this school has no security, then that would put the kids at higher risk of being harmed when a teacher or other staff members are not looking. For example, say hypothetically that it’s lunchtime and Gretchen is finishing up some artwork for her presentation when suddenly this random man she has never seen before walks up to her and tells her to go with him. No guards would make it much easier for criminals to get into the school and potentially kidnap a student. If students feel unsafe at school, then that generally impacts their focus and concentration on their education.
