Hi there. Thanks for an informative and entertaining review. You mention, that you have ridiculously long arms. So do I. Being 190 cm and 73 kg, I would often fit a size M or L. Spreading out my arms I span 200 cm from fingertip to fingertip. Could you suggest a brand/ model, similar to the Antifreeze hoody which has a slim to regular fit, with looong sleeves? Thanks 😊

I have pretty much the same ape index and the Anti Freeze in large works for me-I'm around 88kg though. You might struggle in the medium to get the arm length spot on.

What’s the temperature range on the Anti Freeze hooded jacket?

There's no specific recommended temperature range for the Anti Freeze Jacket as it can be entirely dependent on activity levels, the individual, other layers worn, weather conditions etc. But you should remain somewhat comfortable in the Anti Freeze down to -5c, but that is dependent on the previously mentioned factors.

@@DocDaddyKool-o8b They will perform very similarly, the Microlight has slightly more down fill by weight: Microlight 153g in size L vs Anti Freeze 140g in size M. However, this is offset by the Anti Freeze using 750FP down instead of the 700FP in the Microlight. The other major difference is in the face fabrics, the Microlight opting for a 30D which will be more abrasion resistant/durable, but makes the jacket heavier overall compared to the softer feeling 20D on the Anti Freeze.

The XT looks really warm. Would it be too bulky to get a shell over. I always wear a medium in Montane. Not sure if my Montane Alpine spirit Shell would go over it. Love your videos and content

Hmm, it would be pretty snug. I've had an Anti Freeze for a few years (the old one that's equivalent to the new XT) and don't think i'd get my Haglofs Roc GTX over the top without squishing the down.

Try both on if you can. It's almost entirely dependent on fit when comparing both of these fairly similar and both brilliant jackets.

Hi , am soon going to northern Sweeden ( up to -25C ...lot of snow ) what are your toughts about Montane Anti freeze XT in those conditions? Of course i will use few more layers :) Thanks upfront and sorry for bad english its not my primary

Wonderful, Northern Sweden is fantastic in the winter, we hope you have a great time! The XT (with those other layers) would be a good choice to use whilst you're over there, but something else may be more suitable depending on what it is you're doing whilst visiting Sweden?

@ Thank a lot for the answer ! :) Am just visiting my relatives , i will most likely not do any sport activities , but probably i will walk on the open very offten , I like XT because of how it looks and as i heard it is very comfortable to wear. @@babylon7711 The XT is very comfortable to wear and will be a good option with the appropriate layering to go with it, although you might want to consider the XPD as well if you really do feel the cold.
