60k Rob! Price is Right rules on best guess? Definately curious about the land costs, did you buy or are you leasing it from someone? Also, power? Do you hook up to municipal power or is it off-grid? Lastly, changeover costs, how does that factor into your budget? Love the videos and the glimpse into the financials. Keep it up. Inspiring stuff!

How do you handle/manage and schedule the cleaning of all of your rentals? When you are launching a new rental in a new market (far away from where you actually live) how do you go about finding reliable people to handle all of the cleaning and any physical maintenance of the rental when you're not there? This would be a great topic for a video. I can see how nearly everything about your rentals can be managed remotely, but the physical cleaning after each rental sounds complicated to arrange from afar.

When you use a trailer for airbnb how do you handle the pumping of the black tank? decor: I would keep the walls a light color, paint the lower cabinets the forest green , have the upper cabinets be a lighter color maybe the same color as the wall or a lighter shade of the lowers?, but the wall the separates the kitchen from the sleeping area I would put a wallpaper on it. This wallpaper would dictate the color of your cabinets. If it is green then have pops of this green throughout the airstream ( pillows, vases, rugs ect.). bathroom: *how about a pocket door for a closer. just a thought but what if the door was suspended from a track above (like a barndoor) but slid out of site like a pocket door. you could have this on both side so the door meets in the middle with an interesting latch. * the tub-toilet-sink area: would there be enough storage if you removed the cabinets to the left of the toilet ( while facing the toilet) ? If so then you could move the toilets to that corner making more room for the sink and allowing for a slightly larger shower or soaking tub/ shower. you could even remove ( fully or partially) the cabinet next to the tub and make this area longer and have room for the pocket door. decorating theme idea: Scandinavian . with the whites, creams, black, natural woods and furs ( you could add dark green). it would work for the woodsy area its going to. hope that helps cant wait for the finished product.

What are the plans for access to water and septic with the airstream being lifted so high?
@TheCreativeVictor4 жыл бұрын
I think you might run into issues with building a deck within a tree that can support the airstream. The logistics behind it combined with the liability of making this secure might make you rethink the overall design since it would be more cost-effective to have the airstream on the ground and build a deck around a tree + airstream so that there is a lounging space above the airstream. Wishing you the best though and I look forward to seeing how this project turns out! You are inspiring me to think outside the box when it comes to Airbnb. I have one property that I remodeled (my first condo) in downtown Denver. It features a ton of custom made artwork and furniture (by me) and is voice-controlled (smart-home). Thanks to Covid, I have been able to increase my rates by 30% and now generating 4-5K a month. Currently looking into expanding my short term rental portfolio so you are inspiring. Keep up the amazing work. 👊❤️

I totally agree that unique Airbnb's are the way of the future, but just curious about your math because it didn't take into account expenses or the cost of land (unless you're renting the land which is still a cost), the property management (i assume someone is flushing out that toilet unless you're connecting it to septic which again is another cost), taxes and permit fees (because some counties require short term rental permits), transportation cost of bringing it to Tennessee and maintenance supplies (toilet paper, cleaning products etc). So after all that's said and done, what "profit" will you have left after a year that will actually pay off the airstream? Also did you do comp research for that specific location that justified the 25 day/month estimation? Just curious because I'm thinking about doing something similar, but would love to know the real numbers and research behind all of this.

IM a bit lost. How do you actually plan on putting the airstream in the tree? I know you said you would have a crane lift it, but how do you keep this very heavy airstream in the tree? SEems impossible unless you build a very structured metal platform that it sits on and then the deck in front of it like you said. If you can, let me know how you plan to keep the airstream permanently up 10 ft/up by the trees? or did you talk to an engineer/city permitter and ask if the deck would support the weight?
