I have and I can ONLY say it all went horribley WRONG. Osho had no lineage, no teacher, his knowledge came from vast amount of reading and perhaps direct spiritual experiences. When his following grew, the power and $ went to his head and he lost control, those who submitted themselves to Osho's will, became brainwashed also submitted their credit cards and their whole being to a maniacal cult leader.

Vivekananda had a very Shallow and Superficial understanding of Spirituality. He got Famous Only because of his speech at Chicago. Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Sivananda, J Krishnamurti and Shri Raman Maharshi were MUCH MORE Knowledgeable, Spirituality Evolved and Enlightened than Vivekananda

Umm yes that is the whole point of a cult leader. That is how they draw people in. By saying nice things. Osho read a lot and copied many people including krishnamurti and the Esalen Institute. As someone who was raised in a cult, I strongly feel people need to learn that it matters zilch what a spiritual teacher says, it’s everything what they actually do.

Read Hugh Milne's (Shivamurti's) book, Bhagwan, the God that Failed. The bodyguard, Shivamurti, loved Bhagwan, but became heartbroken when he saw him taking nitrous oxide in a special dental chair, in his mansion at Rancho Rajneesh, in order to reach the same level of bliss he had gifted so many people with, in Poona. Twice daily, Bhagwan would go on his dental chair and take nitrous oxide. He was also taking Valium every day in high doses, at the Rancho. Rancho Rajneesh destroyed him.

Not sure why you didn't name this "A side of the Rajnessh movement "? Bhagwan/Osho was a MAN, did anyone died in his Ashram? I hear stories like this & i've seen many of Osho video's, unfortunately he is not here to answer any misunderstanding questions about his action's, however, this MAN has touched many souls & many more souls to come, Hugh, Sheela & the Rajnessh, were very, very, lucky to be at the right time etc, to be part of Osho's... "CULTURE!" If you cannot feel the love from this MAN..Osho,its a real SHAME, even Jesus they nailed him to a † ..why ? Whenever something is different, why does MAN go into FEAR? I see fear among the Religious folk, I see bombs being dropped on innocent people & their homes ...! I hear folks being killed at school or some other negativity form the Human race but all i see from Osho was TRUTH &💚! He tried to educate MAN&WOMEN about TRUTH, whether you agree of his practise, there is defiantly something very Special about the MAN Osho,like it or not all the dust that goes with the GURU! Empty & bankrupt by 1986, the Ranch was sold in 1988 then donated to Young Life in 1996. Ironically it became a Young Life Christian youth camp. Some original structures still stand, such as the massive Rajneesh Mandir meeting hall (turned into a gymnasium) and A-frame cabins on the hills.

The accusations regarding Rajneesh were unfounded but in the end there was an agreement so that he could no longer return to the USA. And to be free he accepted one, the lightest one. But why did he spend several years in USA on an irregular visa? There is only one reason: with his presence he brought in many people and therefore millions of dollars. And in the USA there is one true God: the dollar.

I'm always fascinated why seemingly intelligent people decide they need the guidance of another person to fulfill their lives and place them on a pedestal as if they are a God. Clearly Acharya Rajneesh and Sheela saw an opportunity to exploit lost Westerners flooding into India following the 'Hippie Trail' and used them for their own gain through a promise of Nirvana.

I have allmost compassion with these very naive people who got sucked into bhagwans spin of deceiving people. Maybe he had some intensions of helping people in search of grounding and answers to fundamental questions in life, but as he was a human being he offcourse could not answer any of those questions. He thought he was a god somewhere right from the beginning, I think. Destined to fall. He was pretty dispicable. People fell for his hissing s'es and slow intonation. Pure bs.
