I eat there after praying. Food ingredients come from the offerings paid by devotees of the temple. The same kitchen cooks the meals for the monks residing at the temple.

Can I ask if they still have mee siam on their menu? If I remember correctly they used to have it on rotation.

Oh wow. Your video title is right! At least for me, I didn't know there's a hidden foodcourt beneath the temple 😲! The bee hoon you ate for $5 is considered a little ex but the western dish for the same $5 is ok, it's worth the price. As for the Miyazaki beef, gosh that's a huge thick slice, oooo la la.
@choonhockong82152 жыл бұрын
Is ok, healthy vegetarian food and if can afford donate more to the temple. The objective is to develop a compassionate heart and help the less privileged people. Some poor people gone hungry, no money to buy food at hawker ctr. Nowadays, hawker food ctr, cooked food is very expensive.
@jasonch50 Жыл бұрын
Bee Hoon plus 2 sides is actually only $3. Additional side is at $1 each. As 4 sides were chosen, that's why it came up to $5.
@andyhooutdoors6 ай бұрын
So is it not free food any more? I remembered years ago I went there and the food was free for all. I was told it was donated by devotees. I felt bad for eating those free food since I felt that the food should be served to those more in need rather than myself, and so I stopped eating there. If they are charging now then I don’t mind to eat there again as I love vegetarian food too.

Wow that eatery has upgraded so beautifully! I was brought to that place years ago by my colleague :D Looks like Ghib has not tried Chinese vegetarian food much LOL. They don't use garlic and onion FYI. Most of the umami comes from mushroom. Lots of vegaterian stalls in hawker centres and also restaurant standard. Not sure about other hawker centres, I find the one near Mattarr MRT (Circuit Road Food Centre) has the most number of vegetarian stalls with great variety.

@@bliz85 They don't have to strictly use garlic. From what I see, they are also not strictly Buddhist vegetarian diet - cheese and truffle are not foods that Buddhist monks should be consume if they adhere to their teachings.

Mukbang must be uninterrupted video showing people eating a HUGE amount of food. Your first attempt is not Mukbang but good try. Usually Mukbang is done by those Chinese/Vietnam people who CANNOT get fat. You, OTOH, are in mortal danger of getting sick or obese. With all due respect.
