For newer viewers of Hermitcraft: Aquatown (or Aquetown if you go by the original spelling) was an extension to the Shopping District in Season 7 made by Scar, where you would buy plots of land from him and set up shops in the area, the theme was a general urban high rise.

I love the road! I think it would be so cool if the drains filled up when it rains. You could hook up a rain detector with a bunch of dispensers with water In them that fills the stairs when it rains. It seems like a lot of extra work but I think it would be awesome!

For your base, it would be cool to use the entirety of that circle by building small buildings on the inside of the ring connecting them with paths, similar to Mumbos S8 build, then in the center of of the ring make a giant statue or tree of some kind. But that’s just an idea

@Mono grian use litematica and have a private server where supposedly him and his team creates thing. it's ok because man is funny but i wouldnt really put him with scar and bdubs. cmon Bdubs is so fricking good at building structure cmon, is texturing is a work of art. Scar is chill and comfortable and he is good a building nature thing and landscaping. Grian is good, dont get me wrong. but most of his works arent that vanilla i guess. I still watching him for his shenanigans and overall funny personality. But you know, xisuma has been really transparent about using client side mods and he doesnt really have a reputation of being a builder like Grian. Idk maybe both scar and bdubs use that mod too for big projects, but you know, they are still better buildings than grian's one. again, aint saying that grian is a bad minecraft player or that you have to stop watching him, BUT that he's not in the same league of Bdubs and Scar. Grian's entertainment is more based on his personality and player interaction, bdubs and scar both funny and chill are more amusing thanks to their superior skills.

The bowl shaped “valley” looks like an awesome place for a mega base. If I were to build in a place like that, I picture having water cascading all around the interior walls into a moat or perhaps flowing out one side through a tunnel/gap in the wall. The main building(s) would sit in the central floor of valley base.

Ngl bdubs, I wouldn't mind if you didn't have a base this season. I already get that fix from you from building with bdubs. I kinda like that this series is way more multiplayer focused, with your adventures, shops, and interactions w the other hermits. I wouldn't complain if this series just focused on those things instead of having episodes focused on creating a base.

To be fair, you need a base, especially if you're a hermit. When you work with hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of blocks, you need storage. As much as I love Scar, we don't need two people who live in Massive Chest Monsters outside xD Side note: Yes, Scar does have a base, as well as the chest monsters. But I Like to think Bdubz is more organized than that xD I'm still somewhat new to watching him.

One thing I find works really well on old style builds, are chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Could connect them hanging down via chains, and then candles on all sides. It looks really nice and candles give the old decrepit scary vibe also but good light output

What sells it is the road being dark grey pavement plus brick sidewalk. (Aquatown's had basalt as the primary and were narrower) To be fair this is a beautiful road pallet.

Really cool spot for your big Base. Imagine dozens of houses and other type of structures built into the walls and slightly overhanging with a spiderweb of bridges all leading into a central Tower stretching its neck well above the canyon and terminating in a lookout platform

That area behind the gate reminds me of a Dwemer dungeon from Skyrim. The faces really remind me of the ones carved in stone in the ruins you end up in a few times during the game

I'm gonna be honest, when you said you will be selling adventures for other hermits at the beginning of the season, I was initially a bit dissapointed, but oh boy how wrong I was. The first adventure that Tango beat was some of the most fun I've had watching other Hermits! Now I'm even more excited for this HUUUUGE Gate and white lies beyond. Keep up the great builds!

I really like Moss a Menos. The drop chute is a good idea. Might I suggest, contrasting colors around the chute to the blocks getting dropped? (Like an Orange or White background opposed to the similar to the drops, Green and Gray?) Or not, it looks great!

So many times I've seen stair blocks used in surfaces that are to be walked on and thought, "That's unrealistic. It would just be a tripping hazard". But the gutter actually makes sense. Also, I didn't know the deepslate is directional. Some quality content right here.

An idea for the base could be like a tunneling system, but with houses from the medieval age coming out of it, so it’s like a tunneling system for witches maybe, but they had to hide it, and the circle is where they would meet.

It can be treated like how cities have those like districts, or whatever they're called, that were once separate towns that got connected slowly over time. You should do your main build in that valley as an ancient Mayan city thats secluded, and they worship an ancient being that looks strangely like you. It could have cave houses in the cliffs. Be really cool to see

Because of KZbin compression, even those of us with bright monitors can't really see those wall statues/murals/frescoes. Since whoever's visiting it will also be doing it for KZbin, it's probably worth adding a bit more lighting still. It looked amazing yet still incredibly atmospheric when you added the additional lighting!

you could turn the mega base area into an ancient ruins of a lost civilisation, like those city carved into mountains, with big magestic statues and bridges and buildings all carved into the mountains facing itself and a aztec-y pyramid in the middle, also thought for a bit of extra detail you could make lil wooden structures to fill in gaps in bridges or as roof patchwork to make it look like the city is inhabited by a tribal sort of civilisation, plus most of the work would be the fronts of building and interiors which you excel at, and you can use the fun shading techniques youve been working with recently. :)
