Back in the mid 1980's we stayed there in the Colonel's house. at the time my sister in-law was managing the beef ranch supplying beef for Ocho Rios. Incredible views and cool breezes. it was a memorable time.

Area seems tranquil. House would be a dream from a nature lover. I like the area, because it seems isolated. I just don't like the vegetation covering the walls, it seems like a haven for small reptiles, like lizards etc. Thanks for another beautiful video. Well done 👍

Just a tip...when you featured the fireplace, it would have been great to ensure the area was voided of distraction, such as of that "Orange Extension Cord hanging down in front."... Likewise any future focal point you want your viewers see...that it be in order. I love your presentation and the videographer was lit ♨️

Gotta say though that the words great house kinda brings to mind slavery and what a house like things may have represented then. Also have to say that this is bamboo my home🤗🇯🇲 and people the camera doesn’t lie everything grows in this area garden parish indeed. So maybe some enterprising person can buy this house with its spectacular grounds raze it to the ground and build their dream house.🤗

Why should we destroy the handiwork of our forefathers? Do you see the Egyptians, English, French etc destroying the work and labour of the generations that went before them? In most cases it was the poor artisans and labourers of those countries who built the structures now visited on holidays. I take pride that. I am descended from a people,brought from Africa, who had the capacity to learn and the strength to build something that was not known to them in Africa. So you want to destroy evidence of the Africans' skill and labour?

Property Viewers, l wish they would sell the lots for reasonable price, that ordinary people could buy and build. The scenery is very nice,it is also near to Brown’s Town, Ocho Rios, Golden Grove, Claremont, lumsden. These areas need to be develop for people to get somewhere nice to live. Housing Trust need to build some Houses in these areas. St. Ann is a beautiful Parish it needs more houses you have the Moneague Teacher’s College and the FernCourt High. Keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.

@michaeldunn45932 жыл бұрын
Have you ever seen the Catholic Church in St Ann’s Bay? Lizards keep away insects that destroy your plants and flowers. Mosquitoes only breed where there is collected water in old cans and containers. If you don’t have those around your yard, then there’ll be no mosquitoes. That large water tank only need some fishes in it and there’ll be no mosquitoes.

@patriciapatrick19992 жыл бұрын
Beautiful grounds. But the great house seems like IT was a plantation house. Brings back memories of slavery. I think the house was owned by a slave master. If i bought i would definitly knock it down and rebuild. Its not worth the price. The lay out of the house is all wrong for the 21st centery. Hope who buys it will burn it out from all the past. IT looks haunted. The lots are nice though. That whole plantation needs blessing. Anyone who buys it that is of Africian descendent do your blessings first. Bamboo st ann is beautiful.
@eileenwatt82832 жыл бұрын
No, although it might be from that era it's not going to change out history. It could be use as an attraction like Devon House. The money use to fund projects in St. Ann. European countries don't destroy their castles because atrocities happened in them. They are tourist attractions. This house can be a tourist attraction.
@sunshinerain36152 жыл бұрын
This was a plantation estate and its clear the owners have gone some way in removing the slavery past in order to make it sit more comfortably within this 21st century. And let me just say, can you imagine the numbers of african remains that must surely lay beneath these grounds. Burn it down I say, and redevelop the land just as they've done to the Richmond plantation estate!
