@@VICTIMofUTUBESELLOUT So why would they kill for money if they were told they had no money in the will? They 100% didn’t kill for money LOL.... stupid stupid myth. Jose told them they were taken out of the will a year prior to the killings. It wasn’t planned. They bought the guns for self defense. It was too messy to be planned. The murders weren’t pre mediated and there is tons of evidence of that. Pls read up on the case and don’t just believe the 90s tabloids. They waited at the house for the police to come. So still suffering in silence and having ur life be threatened is better? They literally could not flea their house. The dad had so much power even to the door that I don’t think even 3 strong men could open it. Jose made a grown man at the dealership cry. Their mom would lock Lyle in the closet and give him a portable potty to pee in. 9 hrs a day. If he wanted to use a real toilet their mom would come into the bathroom and watch them actually pee so they wouldn’t be lying. I’ve never been sexually abused and I’m not a man but imagining a 14 yr old boys mom watching him pee while going through puberty would make me feel disgusted about myself. They went through that their entire lives. That was the only way they could get out of the house. If I were them I’d do something like that too. Can’t remember which one but one of them said that their childhood ironically prepared them for the mess and chaos of prison. The deserved to be away from their so called parents and wanted nothing to do with them understandably. My heart breaks for them. If anything. They need years of therapy, support and love from someone they can trust. To be held and let the broken little inner child (kid Lyle and Eric) cry and heal him. Be held and loved knowing they will be safe in the persons arms🥺💔

I agree. They think that men are the ones abusing women and often times men who get abused are told their feelings and trauma/abuse is not valid. And telling girls their feelings are valid and have every right to hate/be angry at or any other feelings. Men get traumatized just as much as women. For all the attention given to the abuse allegations, their relevance to the case was actually quite tenuous; the judge allowed them to be heard on the pretext that they were necessary for establishing that the brothers feared their parents. I think the reason that there’s so much disagreement between younger people and people who grew up watching this trial happen is largely because of the media. The Menendez brothers were painted as very spoiled, arrogant rich kids who just wanted money and I think that heavily influenced the way that people viewed the trial. You have one group of people who have kind of a bais due to the media. Already forming their opinions before they view the trial, and another group of people who don’t really have that bias ingrained in them. Who’s opinions are formed solely around the trial itself.

I was orphaned at age 3, bounced from home to home growing up. I was abused for most of my life by various caretakers. I ended up living with an aunt and uncle from ages 14-18, and they were rotten, sadistic people. They wouldn’t allow me to have friends, learn to drive, have any money. At 16 I got a job but they made me turn every single paycheck over to them. They controlled every aspect of my life and even told me I was going to live with them for the rest of my life and pay their bills, I would never be allowed to date, marry, have kids or a life of my own. At age 18, I walked out the door one day with nothing but the clothes on my back. No money, nothing. I didn’t kill them, I walked away and cut off all contact. I married a friend of mine so I could legally change my last name so they couldn’t find me. One of my co-workers taught me how to drive. I didn’t know how to use an ATM, cash a check, use a cellphone, or pump gas. My aunt and uncle had made me completely dependent on them because they wanted a servant and money. Again, it never occurred to me to MURDER them. I would rather be homeless than under their control and abuse, so I walked away and never looked back. I don’t know if the brothers were abused or not, but killing your parents isn’t the answer.

Q asked on show is: "IF you believe that they were sexually abused, does that lesson their responsibility?" Yes. Absolutely, especially due to the power dynamics. They made a choice based on their assessment that there was no other way out for them. Who put them in that position of such a hard choice in the 1st place? Not to condone premeditated murder but this is NOT the same emotional/psychological situation as the Chris Watts murders. For these boys it was a life & death situation. They saw no way out of the nightmare..the hell...their father had carefully woven around them. There was nothing to suggest that they hated their parents or were evil 😈. But, there is a lot to suggest that they justifiably perceived their situation as a life or death, kill or be "killed" situation. Again, not to condone premeditated murder but you can't not see their actions as the unreasonable delusional logic of extremely abused...longterm, since age 3 or 4 years...boys.

@@karorevera4975 I watched it too,and it doesn't matter if they are successful, that didn't stop them from breaking into houses and robbing them, greed is a strong emotion.and you mix that with the rush of being a criminal and it's only a matter of time before you do bigger and more horrible things.like murder your mom and dad.

About as powerful as a wet fart eminating from a crumpled up paper bag. 2022 and the Menendez defense brigade is still waiting with bated breath for the brothers' habeas corpus filing to be granted by the fifth circuit of appeals. At this point, I'm expecting that Sirhan Sirhan will be given parole. Oh wait, that's not happening. His appeal was struck down by the governor of California! Womp womp!

When a kid is sexually abused by their own parents since childhood, that kid doesn't know its abnormal, illegal, wrong and bad thing. They get confused and scared. Parents are the ones to give knowledge to their kids about sexual abuse/Harassment/Bulling to be bad, illegal, wrong and if someone touches you inappropriately then the kid should immediately to their parents. But when the kid is abused by his own father. They get confused, hurt and scared but they thinks its absolutely normal and nothing bad. But as they grow they start knowing that's its illegal, bad, wrong. They feel hurt, pain, become upset, fraustrated, angry, over all they are mentally, emotionally and physically damaged and ruined for life. So, Just because they/Victims kept quite, seemed happy/smiling doesnt mean that they were not hurting, suffering internally and they weren't abused. Most of the victims initially dont know how/when to act in defense, what to tell and how to say their abuse stories to the police/ to another trusted people, no nothing. They dont know how to protect themselves either, they are lost, confused and scared to death. When kids grow older, they start realizing, learning and they start knowing how to put the story of their sexual abuse into sentence. They start gaining knowledge and understanding of their own abuse. So, they start gaining strength, courage and knowledge to defend themselves. But it's sad that some dont tell their stories till the end of their lives. It becomes too late to tell their stories to their families and to the police. So, they just keep quite and suffer internally. It's never to late to tell ur story, act in defense, report to the police, get justice and held criminal accountable of their evil actions. May God bless, protect, Help, heal them and give these innocent brothers one more chance to life their lives freely, happily, peacefully with their own families, with their wife and children🙏

Unfortunately we will never hear parents defense. Or see dad prosecuted. Were you there? Only they and God know the whole truth. I believe they were abused, but my beliefs don’t mean anything, I could be wrong. They could be lying or embellishing. Dad should have seen justice and let jury decide.

No, I recall there were several star struck courtroom observers back when the trial was taking place. Don't fool yourself into thinking this wasn't going on. Charles Manson and Ted Bundy had similar followings back in their day too. Let's not pretend that this wasn't going on in 1993 or 2023 for that matter. The Menendez brothers had their star struck groupies back in the day, it's just that they didn't have access to social media like they do today.
