My most recent ambition is to get my worried little face captured by Ivan Weiss. Seen him in a few vids now and I really like hearing how he thinks on things RE the best portrait of YOU. Not the face you know is your best pic. YOU. Helped me in my portrait adventures already! Great vid, subscribed!

An informative, vulnerable and authentic discussion between artists. Something I hear over again is 'put out the kind of work you want to get paid to shoot'. I think there is a phenomenon where the developing artist, being unsure of what they actually enjoy are simply happy to get paid, and end up producing work that is somewhat accidental, and heaven fobid they beome successful at it, because they may well have delayed their artistic development as a unique voice with a unique process. Then again, not all people, even artists, want to keep developing. I have met many who are happy in their rut.

@steveh8658 I think being happy and enjoying what you do is the ultimate goal for every artist to reach - at least for a while until it's time to do something new. That's the great thing about the creative arts - it allows you to go wherever you want to go. On the commercial side however it can be more tricky :)

@@CameraShake Ah yes; the commercial side. A balancing act requiring discernment; do the jobs that pay the bills, but don't show that work on your portfolio unless you want to be hired to do more of it!
