Who comes to our aide in our time of need? Veterans of course! They're our heroes! It's beautiful! They always put everyone else's needs ahead of their own needs. This is the America I remember as a kid. My Dad was a veteran and he was the same way he would help anyone he could before he took care of his own needs. This is the America I have missed. I have a friend from Asheville, whom evacuated just in time with his wife. Fortunately they are safe and out of state with her family. This is a devastating situation. I am happy to see the resilience and strength of the communities. Incredible the legacy of the 20 year war. The US is now filled with warriors (highly trained and skilled veterans) to take up the leadership roles, in so many ways. I know that you will build back better and stronger. My favorite story!Adam is the grain and salt of the American spirit! Seen a bunch of these sleeping giants forced to reveal themselves through this! I had come to the conclusion that they had died out! That it no longer existed! But here this awful and very tragic event happened and boy oh boy.... There they are scattered about the mountains! It is odd and I feel guilty almost because somehow it feels wrong to say this because nobody should reep benefits from such sn awful things but my heart feels so greatful to see it is still alive! There is still goodness in our people! It has restored alot for hope and humanity in general. I dare to say I surely am not the only one it has touched! I feel blessings from all this goodness in a odd way! Not that that was the intention but as the days that we are living are so overrun with all kinds of awful I think it is essential that our country see this display of the American spirit portrayed in this way! It makes me suddenly for proud of our people. It makes me want to give more and do better! Because this is the "good" portrayed at its finest! Not to mention I see God working and proving his scripture is still alive and well. This Adam gave to his neighbor his last dollar not knowing where his own way to provide would come from. But look at God and all those that gave so unselfishly go ... God kept his word, and with these people showed up and showed out! The testimony has been received. If you think FEMA’s role is to swoop in, wave a magic wand, and restore everything, I can see why you’re disappointed. They have a pretty limited role. This is a DISASTER. it’s going to be chaotic for quite awhile. I am commenting because I want all Americans to start to learn more about what and how governments actually work so we can know how and where real improvements are needed. Just a knee jerk reaction to always blame government is ineffective and cheap. This is obviously a very long and complicated subject, but the data is there. You just have to start to ask the right questions. What is FEMA’s actual mission? What is their current capacity? How do they work, what do they do exactly? Is that what they should be doing or do we need to do something differently? What is their budget? What do they spend it on? Most importantly, is this the proper function for the federal government? etc. etc.

What’s actually happening in the Asheville area is the karma from stealing the land of the Shiloh community, everyone is witnessing the curse of the Gullah Geechee. The Gullah tribe is now located in St.Helena Sc but they once occupied this section of Asheville as well. A little research would go a long way. Those that know fully understand that the division of that community is happening right before our eyes in real time.
