Dr. Kaeberlein this is great, I hear a lot of these talks about how policy must change from academia. This is actually moving the needle in the right direction, not promoting some new wonder snake oil supplement but instead trying to make a shift in policy! Thank you for your work!

Oh my goodness, if this succeeds, this will be So Beneficial. The UK needs to do this. Many GPS here don’t ever even Check a patients Vitamin D3 blood Level. 😟 Mostly Pharmaceuticals are given for DISEASE although they are very relevant. This is a very positive step!

Wow awesome, finally somebody is thinking strategically. Antiaging treatments are the future antibiotics. Whoever will unlock these treatments first will become HUGE.

Montana apparently ranks #4 in top alcohol consumption states. I read the average is 3.34 gallons of alcohol per person per year. Could be related to chronic disease there maybe? But honestly it’s not Montana unique so I’m only mentioning this because this video mentions Montana and chronic disease.

6. I can't give a number, but there is reason to believe that consumption of Advanced Glycation End-products(AGEs) is causing deaths in the hundreds of thousands each year needlessly in the US. Even modest regulatory changes, I believe, could make a substantial decrease. Most food factories in the US use very high temperature cooking usually cooking foods formed into small, high surface area morsels: chips, cookies, biscuits, crackers, puffs, breakfast cereal, trail mix, pretzels, muffins, doughnuts, danishes, and many other foods. At no time should any part of the food being manufactures exceed 300 degrees F in the factories. Good blending practices must also be used, where carbohydrate is blended separately from protein and fat/oil, and only very lightly mixed together at the end. Also, any acid that will be included should be added first. Additives that are wholly Advanced Glycation End-products, or very high, must be banned. Such as caramel coloring in sodas, and nacho cheese dust on/in chips, crackers and puffs. Restaurants also must bring down the temperatures of frying oils, oven temperatures, and pizza ovens must use lower temperatures. This will cost money as they will need more ovens to make the same amount in the same time, but I think it will make a substantial improvement. Processed meat also must be blended less, and AGEs limits set. I think if we are ingenious, we can cut down on AGEs without consumers even noticing, possibly extending hundreds of thousands of lives. The public should also be informed about AGEs and many more foods should be tested. Listing AGEs content on packaging is a possibility. At the very least there should be warnings on very high AGEs products such as toasted oils like most sesame and walnut oil products, roasted nuts, bacon, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and butter. Perhaps with research we can make a low AGEs butter. And we definitely need to demand low AGEs baby formula. 7. Most people don't know which ingredients are dubious on a list of ingredients. If there are inadequate studies to show an additive is fine, or there are studies incriminating it to some extent, it should be listed in red. That gives consumers who care but don't have the time to investigate each ingredient, an, at-a-glance, heads up. 8. We must do a much better job of banning and removing neurotoxins in the environment and consumer products. Lead as already mentioned but also cadmium, fluoride, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, some dry-cleaning chemicals, organophosphates, and glycyrrhizic acid (in licorice), among others. 9. Vaccines and cures for latent infections. These are almost completely ignored, but the burden of multiple latent infections can accelerate the aging of the immune system. 10. Better systems in place to reduce the spread of diseases, but involving a minimum of chemicals. Require powered doors on all high traffic business entrances/exits (including Post Offices and banks), no more turnstiles that require people to touch them, escalators must steam-sterilize the hand belts, grocery carts should go through a cart cleaner, or a worker can clean the handles, and carts completely cleaned with soap and water or hot steam once/24 hours. All public transit, and school buses should have high filtration rate antimicrobial air filtration. All school desks, library desks, school door handles/knobs, school bus seats, mass transit seats, should be cleaned daily if in use. Food courts, and fast food restaurants with more than 6 tables, must have a dedicated worker, out there, who cleans each table, as customers leave, and as they request it. And use separate rags for table and chairs. 11. Produce must meet or exceed the nutrient standards for the crops grown. That means no GMOs that reduce nutrients, though those that increase it are fine, provided they introduce no toxins that affect humans. It also likely means farmers must replace all the minerals that are taken out of the ground by the plants. 12. Vitamin forms added to foods like bread and breakfast cereals must be shown to be as nutritious and healthy as their natural counterparts. Artificial vitamin E likely should be banned, as it has been convincingly shown to be harmful to health. Folic acid appears to be substantially inferior to natural folate. Others need to be adequately studied to determine if that are as good as nutrients taken out of grains. And, if not, banned and replaced with better forms. 13. Substantial modification of the regulation of the supplement industry. Some harmful supplements must be banned. All artificial versions of nutrients (especially racemic versions) must be carefully evaluated or shown to be chemically identical. 14. Higher standards for nursing homes. Food quality standards for nursing homes. Fully equipped gym. Sunlight time/red light wall. Air filtration. Water filtration. Measures to improve sleep. Outings. Video telephone use. Sauna. Pool. Aroma therapy at night. 15. Patents on forms of vitamins or essential nutrients disallowed, and canceled. 16. Widely use newer safer materials: Expand the use of thin strong glass to disposable containers, reducing the use of plastic. Vastly increase the production of titanium for use in can goods and drink cans (thus we don't need plastic lining). Titanium is actually a very common element. It just requires a lot of energy to break the bond with oxygen. There is a new plasma refining method. We need to generate more electrical power, from geothermal and other renewables to make vast amounts of titanium to reduce the weight of springs in trucks, axles, hubs, and other unsprung mass in vehicles. Also use it in commercial aircraft, cars, and such to reduce weight and increase strength and durability. It should also be a durable, effective roofing material displacing asphalt roofing (the vapors from asphalt roofs and the runoff likely is not very healthy). Higher deposits for cans and bottles should also increase recycling to well over 90%. I know this list looks huge, but it is the tip of the iceberg compared with what could be done. Antiaging is, of course, part of any good solution.
