What is wrong with you people? The mere fact that we get to close our eyes and listen to this song 40 years after the fact should be satisfying enough. Have you listened to the radio lately? Are you hearing music like this? No. Be thankful that we grew up in an era of REAL music!
@MrMrMrEFE8 жыл бұрын
So... by your logic, people should be thankful to hear a decent song just because there are some mediocre musicians? First, mediorcre musicians existed ALWAYS, it's not a recent thing. And second, what's wrong is that people has the right to expect something at the height of Hackett's standards. The truth is that this song is fine for a fan cover, but it's not half as good as Hackett can make it. People should ALWAYS be strict when it comes to music. I don't care if some radios play Selena Gomez nowadays, when I hear good musicians (such as the grest Hackett) I expect, at least, great music.

@frankgarnevicus1187 Жыл бұрын
@@batphink2655 I am not being hostile at all. I am smply restating a Steve Hackett interview. That one only contribution allowed on Wind and Wuthering was the main reason he left. Also consider whom Misunderstanding was really about just like their nod to Peter Gabriel at the end of Los Endos. I enjoy the music of all of them. I am simply also leaving it as a part of the band's history. I have followed Genesis since 1972 when I was 14. I am 65 now. Each period has its relevancy throughout just as did Phil Collins's run with Brand X with Percy Jones and the late John Goodsall. Why was Bank Statement a dud? I loved it. When did everybody suddenly become so sensitive?

I would disagree about his "not having the songwriting ability" as Tony and Mike. Have you listened to Steve's vast catalogue of music since Genesis? He's a hell of a lot more prolific that's for sure. So many brilliant compositions.

his voice is kinda too propper, like he's a choir boy, peter gabriel didn't have the most pleasant voice but it was distinct and fitting for genesis. I don't like the new Crimson, they sing songs from all eras with all these unique vocal styles, Wetton's rough voice, Lake's and Burrel's dreamy voices and Belew's multiple styles, and they get boring when the same guy sings them the same way. I liked jakko when I first heard him but he's just a boring singer.

@18165paolo10 жыл бұрын
