Thanks so much for providing the arrow weight and velocity for your bow reviews! As it turns out, compound bows are essentially constant kinetic energy launchers, especially for the 380gr - 532gr arrow weight range you tested. That makes sense in that the energy stored in the limbs at full draw is constant at a fixed draw length. What this means is that if you know the arrow weight and launch velocity for one arrow weight, you can estimate the launch velocity of a different arrow weight to within a few fps (within 4 fps for this bow and the tested weight range) by assuming that the launch energy is constant and backing out the velocity from E= 1/2mV*V. It would be really neat if you also tested a heavy arrow weight and reported the velocity - say an 800 grain arrow for instance, and let's see if the launch energy remains constant from 380gr all the way out to 800gr.

Excellent review and I have kept my eye on PRIME as of the last few years, but never handled one outside of holding my one buddy's and my cousin's PRIME Centergy and Logics. I am left eye dominate but right handed, they had right handed bows. Plus there was not many actual Pro Shops around just big box stores that don't handle any of the flagship type brands. However recently a pro shop opened not too far from me and I went to check it out a couple days ago. Well I wasn't going to buy anything I just wanted to check out the shop and experience the mid level to flagship models that Cabela's/Bass Pro doesn't handle. It just so happened that the owner had a Mathew's Halon 6 he used for indoor shooting for $650 and a barely shot outside of dialing it in PRIME Black 3 in Grizzly Brown and Realtree Escape camo for $600. I need to put accessories on it, but I am excited that after 14 years of using my first and only bow in the PSE Fire Flite 33 from 06, I have a new bow to shoot and use. I still plan on getting my first deer or two with the old bow, before relegating her to backup status.

We don't sell Bow Tech, although I have shot one and it shot well...until we put it through the chronograph. Even ok. The performance setting it was 8-10 fps slower than other bows with the same speed rating. Just n ok t very efficient with heavier arrows. Other than that I liked it.
