Love this area of the park. My parents introduced me to Tuolumne Meadows when I was 5 in 1961. Every summer we would camp and hike and fish in the area. One summer we did a high Sierra camp loop trip hiking all the way down to the valley. Great times great memories!

No, it's not likely. While it can happen, usually if you're just passing through and not exerting yourself too much, your body can handle the lower amounts of oxygen for a short time :)

Toulumne Meadows campgrounds have been closed for 2 years! Tent cabins did not open this year. This is the information that i learned this summer 2024. It is my understanding that Toulumne Meadows campgrounds will be closed summer 2025. Please update when possible. You failed to mention the good available hike to the Great Sierra mine which starts at the Tioga Pass entrance. Did not mention the horse/mule pack trains that operate to/from Toulumne Meadows.

I don't update my videos for temporary closures, which is why I always encourage everyone to check the Current Conditions Page for any national park they are hoping to visit. You'll find Yosemite's here: www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/conditions.htm Right now, the Tuolumne Meadows CG is tentatively scheduled to open on July 15, 2025, but that may change as the season gets closer.
