Why? How is that cool that paul virtue signals on a guy who just stated his appreciation of Benoit as a Wrestler? And how is it right that Paul, a promoter who booked dangerous matches with unprotected shots to the head gets to lecture anyone about Benoit who lost his mind due to the industry's careless for their wrestlers health? Benoit's brain was literally rotting inside his skull, and its all because of rat fucks like Paul who will never take any responsibility for their part in the amount of wrestlers who live and die with fucked up injuries. I lost a lot of respect for Paul here.

Dustin Parks Well, according to others who probably were MUCH more closer to him said he was a very nice guy who loved his family and wrestling. Why is it that guys like Jericho or Chavo are still publicly talking about Benoit without giving 2 fucks about what some may say? Maybe because deep down they’re still doubting about that day? Perhaps. Not entering into conspiracy theory BS territory, but I saw a very interesting article talking about literally everything that happened that day, not only the 'official' version by the police.

Chris Benoit killed his wife and son, thinking anything other than that is asinine and is just a person not wanting to admit someone they enjoyed could really be a monster. Just think about it, what fucking reason would WWE have to continue to say that Chris Benoit committed those crimes if he truly didn't, especially when the reasoning given for why he committed them reflects poorly on them as a company and has costs them hundreds of thousands if not millions in bad press and concussion protocols. Do you honestly think that if their was even a sliver of a chance that Benoit didn't do those things WWE wouldn't be all over that to clear themselves of any wrong doing attributed to them? Loved Benoit's work and always thought he should be recognized in the hall of fame and possibly thrown in a wwe game, but I've thought of that tragedy like that. When Heyman puts it like that, he really shouldn't be in the hof, or mentioned at all. It's sad, but true.

WWE will never put him in the HoF, it would be business suicide. If you don't remember, the media storm around the Benoit Tragedy had quite nearly killed Professional Wrestling in North America. Could you imagine the hellish shitstorm of a backlash they'd get for trying to honor a man who killed his wife and child as an outstanding performer?

This was awesome. And let me just say, I am a Brock Lesnar fan, and have been since the word go. Bur he would have been about 50% as interesting to me, and perhaps only 75% as effective, had he not gotten Paul Heyman as his spokesperson.

Wow, well Paul, if you ever happen to see this comment. Thank you. For everything, from day one of ECW, to coming to work for WWE and going to bat for guys like Brock to get over. I also deeply respect your views on the Benoit situation. I've always wondered about the amount CTE played a role, but you're right. It doesn't matter what played a role, he chose to do it. You knew the man. You know the industry. You know the toll it takes. So if you're saying that, then that's 100% where I'm going to finally go myself. It was a damned tragedy and there was no reason for any of it to happen regardless of reason.

People get the line blurred for Benoit. Like Paul said, as an athlete, he was one of the best I've ever seen. But even though it was most likely due to brain damage, he still killed himself AND his family. So I still say I'm a Benoit fan because of his wrestling ability, nothing else.

What's funny is he didn't bring up Benoit out of nowhere; the fan kept yelling "My boy!" and that prompted Heyman to address it properly.
