Hi Dave! This is a bit personal... I enrolled for Inside Tracker and got my results. My testosterone levels are in red zone!!! I have seen that you raised your testosterone levels in a few days. Can you please help me with the articles or steps taken to raise the testosterone levels coz no there are no recommendations from the inside tracker. Also Is your testosterone in the green zone now, Do u feel any difference now?
@dave-swift Жыл бұрын
Hey Mani! Testosterone optimization is a hugely important. I absolutely noticed when it was too low. I had zero stress tolerance and focus and ambition were suffering greatly. Here is what worked for me, but I'm not a doctor, just a guy on the internet. Reduce stress. When stress is high, testosterone dips. Breathing exercises, regular walks during the day, sun light, and just practicing being easy going helps me. Regular sleep. One idea I like is to set an alarm for bedtime (not when to wake up) and sleep as much as you can. 7.5-9 hours is ideal for me. Food! Hormones need some fat to function properly. Your body needs protein to recover. Once I increased my protein intake to 1g per pound of body weight, I noticed huge ability to recover from exercise (which increases testosterone) That brings me to my next point: Lifting weights. Perform big compound movements like squats, deadlifts, or really anything that uses more than one muscle group is shown to help boost testosterone. Maintain a healthy weight. For most people this is between 15%-20% body fat. For most people, when you go too high or too low in body fat, your testosterone suffers. While dieting to lower body fat percentage, you may notice decreased testosterone levels. My weight has increased since I made this video and I will be starting to diet soon -- which I expect to be fairly miserable specifically related to my ability to focus. One other thing to consider is your lab testing plan. When testing testosterone is important to do the blood draw within a short window after you wake up. e.g. Don't test at 3pm if you get up at 7am. Your testosterone will usually peak in the early AM and then dip throughout the day. This is normal and healthy.

Hey Dave! I'm curious about the neural infection you had. Any specific name for it you can give me so I can look into it? I was a software engineer but had to quit and have had troubles focusing my eyes (esp when looking at screens) for about 5 years now. I've seen many doctors with no luck :(
@dave-swift Жыл бұрын
Hey Galen, sorry to hear of your struggles. It's truly miserable, especially when it takes you away from your occupation (which I assume you enjoyed). For me, it was a middle ear disorder -- I didn't get a more specific name. They said it's fairly common after viral infections. This was probably about 9 months after the initial infection; typically, they clear up by then. The neurologist sent me to a physical therapist who strapped a big helmet with cameras on my head and threw me around (quite literally), and said I had vestibular ocular reflex issues. (I don't recall how much of this I mentioned in my video, so I apologize if I'm repeating myself) I'm not sure if any one thing helped me get better, just tons of self-care and focusing on health. For my vision, I took taurine and did red light therapy. I got some computer glasses, which are a light prescription but they help me not have to strain. I'm not sure where you're located, but you have to be your own health advocate here in the states. Don't give up.

@@dave-swift Thank you so much for the swift and detailed response! Interesting, I'll look into that as well as the taurine and red light therapy. I'm in Canada but unfortunately the same applies here, you've got to be your own advocate. In my experience there's a startlingly small percentage of doctors who are genuinely passionate about helping people, a lot of them just want to get you out the door. I've found Iris (a software that removes bluelight from your screen) to be really helpful.

@@dave-swift Looking at the utility, I see the DNA, innerAge and the Ultimate package to be the best fit for my case. I get comprehensive blood work done every 6 months as a part of my health care package, so I am wondering if I should eliminate the ultimate and just do the DNA and inner age. That way, I can get an insight into my DNA tendencies and correlate them to my blood work (which is free for me). Thoughts?
@dave-swift2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rohan, if you already have all the bloodwork done you can get the $119 plan that just allows you to upload your bloodwork and add InnerAge analysis at checkout for $99. share.clientamp.com/C1JXCD For DNA analysis, if you have already had your DNA tested from something like 23 and me, you can upload that for a small additional fee (I forget what it was, but I didn't pay much). You mentioned the doubling of your testosterone and the huge positive impact on your life, but not how you made such improvement? Did you get a recommendation from inside tracker or like your wife with iron did you take the result to your physician?
@dave-swift Жыл бұрын
Hey Michael, Thanks for your comment and for asking about my experience with InsideTracker. Let me clarify how InsideTracker helped me with my testosterone levels and its impact on my life. When I received my blood work results from InsideTracker, it provided me with personalized recommendations on exercise, nutrition, behavior, and supplements to help increase my testosterone levels. It was InsideTracker's suggestions, rather than consulting with my general practice physician, that helped me achieve the positive results. From my experience, general practice physicians tend to focus more on solving existing problems like heart disease or illness, rather than improving health to avoid future issues. Of course, your experience may vary. InsideTracker has been great for me because it allows me to select specific goals I want to work on and provides me with an app to stay accountable. I hope that clarifies things! I value the opinions of medical professionals, and will always listen to their guidance. I do recommend sharing your inside tracker lab results with your doctor if they're willing to take the time. I'd love to be able to have a concierge doctor on call for my health optimization needs, but that is not affordable for me. I found InsideTracker to be a reasonable substitute for health optimization.
