The system maps in this video show the SCP "System Control Panel". I was told the legacy SCP doesn't have enough on-board memory to play well with the modern XW components. Do you concur & if so, why does this video show that component as part of the system maps? Thanks in advance.

Hi Mick, while SCP has limited access (i.e. newer functions such as SOC control require Gateway/InsightHome/Facility), it can still be useful as a local interface to give the user an idea of how the system is behaving without having to log into their computer.

looks good, new devices being released and the uniform naming conventions. Now, what are the state and plans for the Gateway device? Just bought mine last year this time. How long will production and support go on for that?

Hi there! Thank you for contacting us! All Schneider Electric product are supported through the warranty period. Gateway will be supported for several years even if it is discontinued from the market.

Hi, just wondering - for insight home, when it is set on either of the two LAN settings (~14:50 in video), does the wifi in the insight device automatically stop broadcasting so that there is in that setting no wireless signal being emitted from the device? I would assume so, but am wondering if you can confirm.

The wi-fi access point is always available regardless if the units in connected to LAN. This was design to allow an technician to access the device without needing access to the home network.

can the insight home be used with both conext XW+ and Conext SW4048 inveters?

Will "closed loop" to the Fortress eVault battery work with Insight Home? I was told that would only work with the Conext Gateway (which I think is now discontinued). #soconfused Thanks for helping.

Hi Mick, InsightHome and InsightFacility use the same firmware as the Gateway so you have the same closed-loop compatibility across the spectrum of our monitoring devices. Hope that helps. Eric

Another question: the insight home is described as "perfect for a single-family home with up to 26 kilowatts (kW) of storage" (solar.schneider-electric.com/product/insight/), but I didn't see any mention of this 26kw limit in the webinar. Can you explain what exactly is limited to 26Kw - i.e. will the device simply not read battery storage above that, or is this an estimated maximum based on the total available Xanbus connections available in this device as against the insight facility? Thanks.

Hi there, thank you so much for your comments! The different terms that we use to describe the system size that InsightHome can handle is an attempt to simplify the explanation. The limiting factor is the number of Xanbus devices connected, however, within the Xanbus network there are devices such as the inverters that use more of the bandwidth of the network. Because there are a multiple combination of devices that could be part of a system, we have tried to present an simple way.

@@SESolar i'm also wondering the same. i can't seem to wrap my head around there being a battery-storage-limit for a device that is just supposed to be just a gateway to cloud service. you say the 'limiting factor is Xanbus bandwidth', but that *again* makes no sense as to why there is a battery bank storage limit. if you have 1 inverter and 1 charge controller, why can't you have +1billion kWh of storage?? (or more realistically, the 9999Ah of storage the Battery Monitor can count up to/is limited to...)
