Growing up in the UK in the 90s I knew Pulp were big and knew their biggest couple of hits. But it was only listening to some of the songs on this album 20 odd years later that I realized I’d missed out back in the day not being a bigger fan. The greatest Britpop album IMO. And this song is just perfection.

Jarvis similar to Morrisey has a lot of Humour in his lyrics a lot of the meaning is very British culture based and others may not get it all the time.

This is Hardcore is a Pulp track that doesn't get much attention but certainly deserves a listen.

This is indeed a big wedding dance track here in the UK. I'm jealous of your hearing this for the first time. Wry and romantic at the same time. However, Relaxed Muscle, one of Jarvis' spin-off bands, is v different! 😜

This was the song that was playing in My Girlfriend and It's favourite restaurant the night before Her 30th Birthday where I waited til the end of Our meal, got down on one key and opened the ring case I'd managed to hide in my hand and asked Her to Marry Me Her Birthday was on the 21st of December and it felt like the restaurant with all of its Christmas parties hused for a bit while Tracey, My Girl, struggled to give Me an answer and it was Yes which to be honest I had basically banked on We spent just over 16 blissfully happy years together all told but She died suddenly from un undiagnosed heart defect in July 2011 and I went into a total tailspin which I've kind of recovered from but never will completely, She was without any doubt my soulmate and We had been in the same year at Secondary School together but now I can recount moments like this with complete happiness and gratitude to have met and married My One and this song brings the memories of Our engagement back in micro detail every time Perfect ❤️
