What modern christmas traditions are found in the bible?
@ceebee77072 жыл бұрын
Christmas is a holiday that has been celebrated for centuries, but its origins are widely debated. While some Christians celebrate the holiday as the birth of Jesus Christ, there is no mention of Christmas in the Bible. In fact, there is no evidence to suggest that Jesus was born on December 25th. Historical records indicate that Christmas was originally a pagan holiday to celebrate the winter solstice and various other gods and goddesses. The Bible does not mention any of the traditions associated with Christmas, such as the Christmas tree, decorations, and gift-giving. The Bible does mention other holidays, such as the Jewish festivals of Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. These holidays were celebrated in the time of Jesus and may have been the inspiration for few of the traditions of Christmas. The celebration of Christmas as we know it today is largely an adaptation of pagan rituals and traditions.

"Should Christians celebrate The Birth Of Our Lord? " What kind of question is this?
@CaptainBars2 жыл бұрын
Indeed. In fact, did you know that out of all the appearances made by angels in the Bible, the Birth-of-Christ story is the only one where they appeared in a great multitude giving praise and glory to God in the presence of humans? For even in the accounts of Christ’s resurrection, only two angels appeared to the women to give the Good News, and even then, oddly enough, they said nothing about giving praise and worship. We can further observe that in all other accounts of angelic appearances to humans (not counting prophetic visions and dreams), the angel either appeared by himself or came with only one other, and they likewise never made praises to God. So when seeing how Christ’s birth is seemingly the only event which the angels made a big splashy production out of, should we not follow their example and celebrate the event likewise? Now some critics may respond to this by arguing that if God wanted us to celebrate the events surrounding Christ’s birth, lavishly or otherwise, He should have clearly spelled it out for us somewhere in the scriptures. Well please forgive my bluntness, but are they really so dense that they can’t read between the lines of a passage like Luke 2:7-20 and see that we shouldn’t need to have something like this spelled out for us? In fact, I might go as far as to say that we ought to feel insulted if God felt the need to spell out something like this more clearly. Merry Christmas, y'all!

@CaptainBars2 жыл бұрын
@residue junkie Regarding the topic of birthdays in scripture, did you know that the children of Job, who was one of the godliest men in the Bible, celebrated their birthdays with grand feasts? See Job 1:4 which says that “his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day, and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.” For evidence that the phrase “his day” in Job 1:4 is indeed referring to the day of one’s birth, observe the use of the same phrase in Job 3:1 (KJV) and the speech that follows. Also, in verse 3:4 of that speech, we can get the impression that God Himself had been regarding the birthday of Job up to this point. If God was against the celebration of birthdays, then you’d think Job would have known this and taught his children that too. Are you now going to argue that Job was a bad father? Now some critics of course might attempt to refute the above argument by recalling how Job made burnt offerings to God following these birthday feasts just in case any of the children sinned during the celebrations (Job 1:5). This, however, is a very weak argument if trying to claim that birthday celebrations are bad. For if Job actually felt that way, then why would he allow his children to celebrate their birthdays at all? Further, since every member of the human race practically sins every day, the odds of sinning during someone’s birthday party aren’t much different from the odds of sinning during a religious feast like Passover.
@CaptainBars2 жыл бұрын
@residue junkie In your response to my referencing birthdays in the book of Job, you claimed that this book also refers to “unicorns” and "men with breasts full of milk" too and thus can’t be trusted. Regarding the “breast” comment, the only relatable verse I can find is Job 21:24 which refers to GOD having “breast full of milk” (a symbolic metaphor perhaps), but I find nothing that talks about regular men having this. As for the “unicorn” issue, the Bible verses that mention this animal are not referring to the mythical one-horned horse, but rather to a *rhinoceros* which is another beast that usually has only one-horn. Next time, you might want to do your homework first and then double-check it before posting such replies. Merry Christmas.

I always thought Santa Claus has gotten a little ridiculous. I grew up in the 1950s and knew nothing about Christ, but Christmas was about Santa Claus, same for Easter. I never knew that that Easter was about the Resurrection of Christ I thought it was about rabbits and eggs. It wasn't until I became a Christian before I discovered those were Christian holidays. @Methodius of Thessaloniki I'm afraid judging by my experience growing up 60+ years ago most Americans probably think they're holidays for kids, especially Easter. At least Christmas has Christ in the name, but I literally was a Christian for several months before I discovered Easter was a celebration about the Resurrection of Christ and I thought what's all this nonsense about? They may not be pagan holidays, but the meaning of the Holy days is hidden from the culture at large when full grown adults living in the culture have no idea what it is all about. Santa has magic powers like God and I still have no idea what the rabbits and eggs are supposed to teach about the Risen Lord, but I never did. Go ask young people randomly what Easter is about and only kids that went to Catechism would know generally. I would say the world took the Holy days back and buried them in all those things that are not pagan, but they are not Christian either. I actually didn't think much about it until now.

I don’t think it’s the traditions around Santa Claus which have gotten a little ridiculous. The traditions are fine, and can coexist with (and even be used to help teach about) core Christian belief. What is ridiculous is that as America has steadily become more secular, it picked and chose what traditions it wanted to keep - and Santa and the Easter bunny made the cut because they were “fun”. But Santa removed from an underlying Christian context isn’t capable of being the same tradition anymore - so what we have now is a Christian minority celebrating a good, beautiful, and true version of the tradition while the secular majority celebrates a distorted, vulgar, and perverted version of the same root tradition. I don’t feel obligated to abandon tradition just because others now celebrate a distorted version of it - I feel obligated to teach my kids the truth and beauty of the tradition within its Christian roots and context so that the traditions can survive through future generations intact.

Putting the pagan thing to one side, I'm thinking of the bible verse that talks about worshipping God in 'spirit and truth'. Given that 25th of December is not scripturally the birth of Jesus then how are we worshipping the one true living God in 'spirit and truth'? If Christians are, indeed, to celebrate Christ's birth then why not celebrate it in the month that the scriptures point towards? (the shepherd's were out tending their flock, for example so it was not winter/December). The fact that Jesus said that we were to be separate from the world whilst still in it, indicates to me, that whatever the world celebrates/observes is not what Christians should join in doing themselves. Should we not stand out as being different to the world and its traditions and so called 'religious' practices?

The story of the Christmas tree begins in England, where the very young Winfrid decided to enter a Benedictine monastery over the objections of his parents. Winfrid grew in holiness and piety but yearned to leave the monastery and bring the light of Christ to the pagan Germans just as the monks had brought the Faith to England a century earlier. Boniface steadied the nerves of his friends and as they approached the pagan gathering he said, “Here is the Thunder Oak; and here the cross of Christ shall break the hammer of the false god Thor.”[4] Boniface and his friends arrived at the time of the sacrifice, which was interrupted by their presence. In a show of great trust in God and born from a desire to enkindle the fire of Christ in the German pagans, Boniface grabbed an axe and chopped down the Thunder Oak of mighty Thor. The Germans were astounded. The holy bishop preached the Gospel to the people and used a little fir tree that was behind the now felled oak tree as a tool of evangelization. Pointing to it he said, “This little tree, a young child of the forest, shall be your holy tree tonight. It is the wood of peace… It is the sign of an endless life, for its leaves are ever green. See how it points upward to heaven. Let this be called the tree of the Christ-child; gather about it, not in the wild wood, but in your own homes; there it will shelter no deeds of blood, but loving gifts and rites of kindness.”[5] Awed by the destruction of the oak tree and Boniface’s preaching, the Germans were baptized. Boniface continued his missionary efforts into old age when in 754, he left for a trip to Frisia with fifty monks. Their work was successful and many pagans agreed to receive baptism. When the appointed time came to celebrate the sacrament, a large armed crowd of pagans approached the missionaries. Knowing his time to die was at hand, Boniface discouraged his followers from fighting and said, “Cease my sons, from fighting, give up warfare for the witness of Scripture recommends that we do not give an eye for an eye but rather good for evil. Here is the long awaited day; the time of our end has now come; courage in the Lord!”[6] The ferocious pagan attack left Boniface and his fellow companions dead and celebrated as martyrs for the Faith. His later biographer, Othlo, recalled Boniface’s deep love for the people who he endeavored for so long to bring to Christ: The holy bishop Boniface can call himself father of all the inhabitants of Germany, for it was he who first brought them forth in Christ with the words of his holy preaching; he strengthened them with his example; and lastly, he gave his life for them; no greater love than this can be shown.”[7] In the centuries that followed, the Catholic tradition of using an evergreen tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus spread throughout Germany, and German immigrants in the eighteenth century brought the custom to the New World. Although there are many stories, legends, and myths surrounding the founding of the Christmas tree, including the claim that the custom originated with Martin Luther, there is only one story rooted in a real person and a real event: Boniface, converter of the Germans, who destroyed Thor’s mighty oak.😁😁

There was also a couple of rabbis who died in the same month (not day) that they were born, which was ascribed to their righteousness. Does the Bible condemn Christmas? - NO - but maybe it should. What is an idol? It is anything we worship other than the One True God. Do People (including Christians) worship the One True God at Christmas - or do they worship turkeys, tinsel and trees? Idolatry is in the heart. Ask yourself - how much time do you spend on Christmas Day (and all the rest of December for that matter) worshipping the One True God? And how much time do you spend buying presents, writing Christmas cards, buying food, cooking food, eating food, decorating trees, drinking, travelling to meet other people, watching television, lounging around, and recovering from all this excess? Can you truly say you are celebrating the Saviour's Birthday or enjoying just another pagan festival?

But if I spend a lot of time on myself (cooking, eating, drinking, buying stuff, watching TV, playing games) can I call that worship?
@tryingnottobeasmartass7572 жыл бұрын
My point is that no one is idolizing Christmas by spending time buying Christmas cards, shopping, decorating their house, or by spending their time at work, or by sleeping. "Whether therefore ye eat or drink, do all to the glory of God."
@Ancient-Paths2 жыл бұрын
@@tryingnottobeasmartass757 I may be wrong my friend - but since God hates worldliness, selfishness and idolatry so much - I cannot see how we can truly be 'worshipping Him' by simply wasting time and money for a whole month - on things that have nothing to do with Christianity. Can they really be done "to the glory of God?" Yes, helping the poor and feeding the hungry at Christmas is God-honouring - but is stuffing yourself til you nearly explode, and watching sordid programmes on the TV? I am not against people celebrating Christ's Mass - if that is what they want to do (and keep it modest) - but I thought it was a good thing to consider the hours we choose to waste in proportion to the actual hours we choose to spend in "worship." Hours that we will never regain. Are we not told to "redeem the time"? I spent my first Christmas as a Christian traipsing around the shops to find a "perfect" tree, then carrying it home, and up three flights of stairs to my flat. Then hunting in the loft for decorations, de-tangling the lights, decorating the tree.. Then three weeks later I had to take the decorations down, pack them away in the loft, find a saw, cut up the tree, bag it, and take it down stairs, round the back of my property, and then clean my flat. Can I honestly say I was redeeming the time the good Lord had given to me? I was not saved until I was 37 years old - and I was so looking forward to my first Christmas Day - as I imagined it was going to be the most exciting day of the year. When I got to church I was so disappointed when I discovered the service had been truncated to about 30 minutes. "Why?" I asked the pastor. "So that everyone can get home to cook the turkey" he replied. We must remember, that many things done in the name of the Almighty are not in the least honouring to His name.

It’s simple really. If you don’t have the time to search through the history here is something simple you can do. You can ask a simple question. Did the MESSIAH do it? Did Yahusha celebrate Christmas or anything close to it? If he didn’t then the safest bet would be to mimic him. The messiah kept the biblical feast days and observed and lived a sinless life! What is sin as defined the scriptures and not our opinions? “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.” I John 3:4 NKJV So the messiah obeyed the laws of Yah perfectly! He never broke it! The laws are summed up in 2. Love Yah with all your heart and your neighbor as you love yourself but.. and this is a big BUT.. You cannot keep those unless you KNOW the OTHERS!!! Do we really think the creator of all things.. that has put order(law) to everything would give precise instructions on how to operate in his creation?? He created the way the sun rises/sets, the precise makeup of something like water.. Water is only water if it has 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen. If anything is taken away or added then it is no longer water! That is a (law). It is unchanging because he is unchanging. ““For I am (Yahuah)the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” Malachi 3:6 NKJV Are we realistically going to our children a car and not teach them how to drive? A stove and not teach them how to safely use it? Clothing and not teach them how to wear them? You get the point. The creator has a specific way he wants those that are submitted to him to worship him. He has specific “HOLIDAYS” that gives him glory. Is Christmas one of them? Or did he set apart.. Passover, Unleavened Bread, Atonement.. etc The only way we can give the CREATOR WHAT HE WANTS is by submitting our understanding and will to him reading his word and doing things HIS way. ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says (Yahuah) the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV The truth is that we all to some degree have been deceived by the enemy and we all have operated in his understanding and his ways willing. Regardless of ignorance we have. Some of those things have brought happiness and a level of unity, but that doesn’t mean that it pleases the father. Videos like this are made to justify people not wanting to examine there relation to the Creator and Word (Yahusha) and to give up that which is not aligned. We are creatures that like to be comfortable. Find your comfort in The simplicity of the Creators word. Not man’s complex opinions. I promise you he doesn’t desire to deceive you by being overly complex 😂. ““Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19 NKJV “Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”” Luke 24:44 NKJV Who gave the law to Moses? It was ultimately the CREATOR. So who’s law is it really? THE CREATORS! The law speaks of who? THE MESSIAH YAHUSHA!!!! ““If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15 NKJV “‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”” Matthew 15:8-9 NKJV

I did the same, but realized how far off base I was to not celebrate Christmas at all. The Holy Spirit was guiding me down a completely different path. I stopped worrying about the details of pagan roots after realizing satan was trying to dupe me again. The real problem with Christmas is that Santa is actually an antichrist spirit. Antichrist means "instead of Christ", not "against Christ". Santa is given divine character, "he sees you when you are sleeping, he knows when you've been good or bad, so be good for goodness sake". We teach our children to love Santa, to be good for him. But, Isn't it God who does those things? God is a jealous God and does not share His throne with anyone. We are warned over and over in scripture, "do not be deceived", "satan appears as an angel of light", satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. We have been duped by satan into a secular Christmas celebration that actually mocks God. We don't have too much longer on this earth, we Christians should be better at discernment, lest we get left behind.

The idea that Christmas is ‘pagan’ actually comes from die-hard Protestant fundamentalists in the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. In those centuries, many Protestants regarded holidays like Christmas and Easter as “Popery” and therefore sought to discredit them by linking them with ancient paganism. The idea that Christmas might be pagan was advanced as early as 1648 in the work Certain Queries Touching the Rise and Observation of Christmas, written by the Puritan Joseph Heming. Later fundamentalist writers took the idea and ran with it. One particularly influential writer was Alexander Hislop (1807-1865), a minister for the Free Church of Scotland who published a pamphlet in 1853 titled The Two Babylons. In this pamphlet, Hislop claimed that Roman Catholicism is really nothing more than re-branded Babylonian paganism and that all the holidays associated with Catholicism are actually ancient Babylonian religious festivals in honor of the heathen gods. Hislop was a zealot, vehemently anti-Catholic, and a crank whose ideas had almost no factual basis whatsoever, but his work became extremely influential among Protestant fundamentalists. It is from Hislop that the concept of Christmas as the “birthday of Tammuz” derives. [Some of the above comes from an article published 8.DEC.21 by D. Armstrong] The above said, there is no denying that some traditions and customs surrounding Christmas are derived from pre-Christian beliefs and practices; the tree (a Germanic tradition), the “plant” traditions - holly, ivy, mistletoe (from the Celts). Indeed, many of our present-day customs and traditions, from the days of the week to the candles you blow out on your birthday cake, have pre-Christian antecedents; but no one really seems to complain about those. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that very few people are even remotely aware of them. Quite frankly, whether one wishes to acknowledge it or not, the “pagan-ness” has been effectively ‘bread out’ of these Christmas traditions for well over 1,000 years now. They have, for all intents and purposes, become completely Christianized. Like other pre-Christian customs and traditions that have become part of our culture, it’s time for some to get over it. The conception that Christmas had pagan foundations started to be viral in the 17th century with the English Puritans and Scottish Presbyterians, who abhorred all Catholic things. They detested the feast days, specifically the Christmas feast with its joyous observances, celebrations and customs. Given that the Bible did not provide specific date of Jesus’ birth, the Puritans contended that it was a sinful device of the Roman Catholic Church that should be eliminated. Subsequently, Protestant preachers like the German Paul Ernst Jablonski attempted to establish unverifiable works that December 25 was actually a pagan Roman feast, and dissuaded that Christmas was yet another example of how the medieval Catholic Church ‘paganized’ and corrupted ‘pure’ early Christianity.😎😎

Supposing that the trappings or date of some holiday were rooted in a pagan culture, that wouldn't matter a lick unless they preserved, in tact, a rite or belief from paganism that is contrary to Christianity. Paul and the rest of the apostles didn't give up their Jewish culture when they became Christians, and they didn't demand it of Greeks, Romans, or the rest of the world. Even if Santa Claus was Odin (which he isn't), the key question should be does he convert and worship Christ with us, or does he still demand we worship him, like the old days.

I asked a woman who made the statement on a Mike Wingers Christmas post that stated ''Christmas was evil and from pagan.'' I asked her if she would provide the evidence to support her claim. She replied that it wasn't about her proving anything. She told me to ''do the research.'' I asked her which claim would she like to examine. She didn't respond.

Sermon was good. The impact of Christ being above all and victorious above all other "gods" was important and im glad you ended on that. Im not sure it came accross with as much weight. The sermon felt information heavy and little to hold onto. I personally like this form of talk/sermon but i dont think the majority attach themselves with the call to know this and worship God by telling and loving others with and through this knowledge. Again, a lot of good, i hope to see you refine this message and make it better for next year and the many years God give you after. Thank you for your work and service.

So my stance on Christmas is its fun time and can be used to get closer with God and your family. I use to think it was Pagan but have since got away from that. My thing is when church tells how important it is to celebrate Christmas when if it was important as they say it was it should be in the Bible. People celebrate Christmas but no scriptural holiday.

@@InspiringPhilosophy Really this says it all, “And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.” Luke 16:15 NKJV Is Christmas highly esteemed among men? Here is a lifeline incase any of you want to become actual Christians, which is done by identifying with His death and resurrection, not physical birth, which curiously you don’t even know if was in December, much less if it’s the 25th. (Go to The Path of Truth and type “Christmas” into the search bar, read That Devilish Spirit of Christmas) Consider actually reading that before responding. Many, many other points are made there. “1Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2Thus says the Lord: “Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. 3For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. 5They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good.” Jeremiah 10: 1-5 NKJV What does that speak of if not a Christmas tree? Would not a Christmas tree fall under that umbrella even if that wasn’t what was specifically being mentioned? Or did you skip over the verse? If so, why? When reading someone’s refutation of Christmas do you just sort of skim through it and ignore or outright reject it? Does such a reaction not also say it all? Wouldn’t one not want to be caught celebrating pagan festivals if it wasn’t God’s will? He calls such acts whoredom, prostitution, and infidelity, do you like getting cheated on? Not to mention it brings His wrath. Did Jeremiah not make it simple and clear enough? There’s only one reason you wouldn’t be able to see it… “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.” John 8:43 NKJV “He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” John 8:47 NKJV “According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances.” Leviticus 18:3 NKJV You guys are supposed to come out of Egypt (the world), yet here you are defending it. And not only are you suppose to leave Egypt but you’re also to go outside the camp (“church”), bearing his reproach (Heb 13:13), taking part in His sufferings (Col 1:24). He is a Man Who is acquainted with grief, are you a man or woman of many sorrows? Are you being persecuted for righteousness sake? Or are you too busy eating drinking and being “merry”? “And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them.” Leviticus 20:23 NKJV Is Christmas Egyptian in origin? It sure is! You can find out in less than 30 seconds on Google. Not only is it Egyptian but it’s been influenced by Babylon, the Romans, and almost all nations, doesn’t God hate ungodly mixture? It has filthy ancient stains of old traditions, look into Saturnalia for example, and Nimrod, his wife Semiramis, Tammuz, and the winter solstice of the sun, read Two Babylons, it’s free. And what about modern day with Krampus or magical elves? The evidence is endless. “How about all the paraphernalia… the holly wreath, mistletoe, Yule log, the tree? All pagan. Mistletoe, for example, represents fertility. Why do people kiss under it? Origins of these are easily determined with research and spiritual judgment. What about “Saint Nicholas”? Traditions and origin theories vary, but consider: Are saints elves? Are they obese? Are they endowed with magical powers? (I don’t say “miraculous” because there is a difference.) Do they smoke? If so, they are not examples fit to represent the Lord in what many presume to be the greatest feast unto the Lord. Do saints come by stealth, giving superfluous gifts? You may say that you do not really believe in Santa. Fine. You may think that such fantasy is innocent or harmless. It is neither. A saint is one in whom dwells the Lord Jesus Christ. A saint is not some elf or fairy tale. He or she is a child of God. The things of Christ should never be mixed with fables or lies.” - Victor Hafichuk “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16 NKJV If you want to celebrate Christmas, leave Jesus Christ out of it and don’t associate it or yourself with Him. “For the Name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.” Romans 2:24 NKJV Isn’t this exactly what is happening? I’ve seen endless short clips of atheists rightly confronting compromising Christian’s for celebrating Christmas when indeed its origins and current state are pagan through and through. And so God is more angry with you than with them. Imagine that, the heathen having to rebuke the believers. “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” Exodus 20:7 NKJV Not being held guiltless means cancer is coming your way, or car crashes or any other catastrophe, not so with God’s children. Visit The Path of Truth, the Lord’s website, and see what He has to say about Christmas. There you will find pages and pages of points and proofs, and more important than historical facts, the spiritual perspective and substance. And truly, Christmas is a small matter, if you can’t give this up what makes you think you’ll be able to forsake all when the time comes? “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.” Luke 17:33 NKJV “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33 NKJV Forsaking is an inner reality, but often manifests externally. You guys can’t even give up evil things for the Lord! Much less would you be willing to forsake good things like Abraham with Issac.

The thing is, it might be Christian but is it biblical? Biblically accurate? And what do you consider “Christian”? A tradition following Christ’s teaching or traditions made by followers far later? The pope is a Christian figure with the late interpretation but from the Christ’s teachings, it’s hard to consider the pope a Christian cause he literally goes against several of his teachings.

Imagine being scolded for trying to follow the Bible. It’s ok brother/sister. They don’t understand that we grew up in a Christless Christmas and when we find that gifts, Christmas trees and Saint Nick and slay bells are not in the Bible, they don’t calmly tell us the truth, they scold you for trying to seek it and understand it. But you don’t don’t find the truth in the comment section. Pray you got something out of the video like I did, and maybe you’ll learn more as you go. I did not learn about a prophets death correlating to their birth until recently. Sad, it wasn’t until I was adult that I finally received this bit of information. Asking so many times about their reasoning and all the lukewarm Christians that celebrate the holiday blindly could not answer. Bless the age of information.
