Install mustang quarter panel in one piece

Just showing how easy it is to install a full quarter panel on a 66 mustang as there are those in forums that say it isn't possible.
A quick look at a 6 gauge cluster 3d printed from a file created by Jranger615. It is 100% all his work that has gone into creating the file and he has done an awesome job and was nice enough to put it on thingiverse for everyone to use. I just hackedly printed it on my new printer since I was in a hurry.

That magnet as a door close is genious! I'm over here using a bungee cord. Lol. I will use that in the future. Thank you.

No problem glad you found it useful. Those magnet strips are super handy for allot of things. Also good for holding flat panels together for alignment during welding.

Good idea with the magnets to hold the doors.

Cover it in duct tape so it doesn't scratch but they work really well when you are adjusting. IMO far better than fighting with the door latch.

It has had it's fair share of driver induced body work over it's life. The pass side quarter had tractor damage to it when it was being moved once.

@@theinfernalcraftsman Will do… I’m trying to source a Dynacorn (in hopes that it’s better than most). One thing I’ve learned from you guys is TEST FIT and massage (ref. Barry’s t-shirt last night😆).

@68orangecrate26 See what NPD has in stock. The dynacorn panels are made by muscle car get in Taiwan and sold under different brands. But dynacorn has most of their parts done in the grey galvanic primer instead of the black edp coating. Problem is it's hard to find out who is selling what parts. That said it's hard to go wrong with NPD. They do allot of research to find the best suppliers and they don't just buy their parts but they also have input on what needs to be improved on the parts.

What haven't you replaced over the years. :):) I can't tell you how many times I have read on forums or heard guys talking about doing it and say that you can't do it without cutting off the part under the sail panel etc. Now I can say here watch this.

If I missed something you need to see I do have pictures of the pass side and other video of the drivers side. There is always some issue in an area that doesnt get mentioned or shown.

First off, the car is looking Great. And secondly, for as much as you hate that Go-Pro, you are getting some Great video results. Everything on this end is crystal clear. BTW, How far along did you get on that CNC machine....? I'm in the process of building a one also.

It's looking like a car again. I am filming at 1080p 30fps. Anything more than that it overheats super fast. The cheapie I had would record in 4K with no issues but would overheat at 1080p. Go figure... The cnc router is a 2'x4' with about 6" of Z travel and a 2.5hp router. I took the gantry and Z off to roll it under that bench. It basically just needs lead screws and a few other pieces of hardware. With cheap linear rails now I would go that route in the future. In the last 10 years motors, controllers rails and screws have dramatically dropped in price so little need for using regular hardware anymore.

Quarter manufacturer matter? What's yours?

It makes a big difference. The fit of the Goodmark is horrible as I did a comparison on an earlier video. I'm not sure who made mine. The part numbers and the sticker from the factory in Taiwan is on my second quarter comparison video. I was told it was a Dynacorn but there is nothing with their name on it. Also Dyncaorn just buys from companies in Taiwan like anyone else. There are at least 3 different quarter manufacturers and I am pretty sure there are 4 or more. Just from comparing them side by side.
