Note that AI traffic only works with the special Shibaura PA Traffic track, and will not spawn on the short Shinjuku, Daiba, or Daikoku Routes linking the longer main highways.
Additionally, loading into SRP with traffic mods can take a while: it takes 1 to 2 minutes on my gaming rig. Even if you receive a message that the game is not responding, keep waiting at least 10-15 minutes because it should load eventually. Also it’s important to note that Assetto Corsa was never intended to run a huge track like SRP, or have AI cars lapping it. You may see some driving errors or bugs while using SRP traffic, but please be understanding and grateful to the developers who took the time to bring this great mod to our Assetto Corsa community.

Finally Ben.. I finally got around to installing/testing this.. A couple of additions for me thou. Upon first attempting to 'Go!' it was saying the circuit tag needed to be added to the track. Then I was getting 'Unexpected Error' with AI Spline might be missing or broken error, fixed that by reinstalling the SRP traffic and manually copying the AI folder shibaura_pa_traffic/ai/ into shibaura_pa/ai/ AND then three words my friend "Awesome!" and "Thank-you"

CSP 1.76 (preview) also works. The new AI menu is much simpler - the only things I changed were decreasing the min track length to 4000 and checking the return to race after entering the pits. Thanks for the great video!

@@smelly1444 I’m sure at some point it’s literally a hardware problem...but you can try setting AC.exe’s priority to “real time” in task manager, lower graphical settings, and run a lighter (or no) PP Filter...those are the main player-side things I know of offhand. Best of luck 🤞

@@Xxecstasy I don’t know how to do that one, sorry…I’ve never looked into it. You might turn the AI aggression down to like 1% and see if that makes them slower, change out the traffic to be mod cars with such low Hp they don’t go fast, or look for a tutorial specifically on no hesi traffic…you can also ask around in the SRP discord server and may find someone who can help point you in a better direction. The Supra is from the Deathwish Garage pack, it’s a drift mod. Settings wise I’m using CSP 0.1.73 and Sol, graphics are turned up some with my RTX2070 but they aren’t maxed out. Thanks for watching and taking a moment to leave a comment!

I feel like I installed everything correctly, but I'm having issues with the traffic where: they will either wreck into each other every time there's a decent group of them causing a pile up, or there will be two AI stuck riding side by side and they won't make a move to clear a lane. Not sure if this is just how it is, or if I am missing something, any advice would be appreciated! :)

Basically how it is but it could depend some on the mod cars you use. Some end up working together better than others from what I’ve seen. My issue has been more their suspension breaking when they spawn in cause they kind of drop into the map, so sometimes I run into cars at a dead stop with a busted wheel 😆

Honestly I’d suggest asking in the SRP discord, the mod developers know the most about getting it to work. But I know that the steps in my tutorial work for me and plenty of others so I have to think a step was missed 🤔

I had that problem and all I did was change csp from 1.6 to 1.74 and it works like a dream now

Use CSP 1.73 or higher for sure. I explain that in the video and it could be the issue. At the time I uploaded the vid you needed to be on 1.73 exactly for traffic to work

Sounds like you are either driving the wrong way and getting sent back to the pits, or a mod you’re trying to use is not compatible with the version of CSP you’re running. Hey there! Went through the video and had no issues, very clearly explained and straight to the point! Awesome, I just have one issue, i need csp 1.73 for the AI settings, but my Sol requires 1.76 to work. What can i do?

Hmm…you can use trial and error and/or check the SRP discord to see if there’s a way to get AI traffic working on CSP 1.76…I’d probably just try it and see how well it works (if at all) If you find out it doesn’t work the only option is to downgrade Sol to a version that requires no higher than 1.73 to run with AI, and then upgrade to higher levels when you want whatever the newest version of Sol offers😅 Not the easiest answer but it’s all part of the wonderful world of unpaid, unofficial mods haha 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi, my AI stays on pit and they never move from there . I dont find any solution for this, i follow all the instructions :(

The ones in the pits don’t always move but if you drive for 2 or 3 minutes you should run into traffic. If the cars you find in the road aren’t running they are probably breaking when landing (they get dropped from 5 feet or so above the track when they spawn in) if they are breaking you’ll need to use other mod cars.
