Great video. Using Windows 7 iso dl'd from Microsoft on my early 2011 (did the research) with Sierra and two separate SSDs, I got all the way until bootcamp restarted the computer (as if all was well), then it wouldnt boot from the usb that bootcamp created. Yes I did put on the bootcamp support software on the usb. All I get is the "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" when it restarts. Holding Alt (Option) doesn't bring the USB drive up when I force restart either.

Rally good tutorial man. Just to say if you are installing for example windows 8.1 check that you have a windows 8.1 and not a 8.1 pro or 8.1 "something else" code if you don't the installer will say that there's not any image of windows.

When it starts to load on the windows part it brings up an tab that says "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click OK to restart the computer, and then restart the installation" but I click ok and it restarts and throws the same error

I did this to my Mac a while ago, and I never use a thumb drive. All the videos I watched said you need a flash drive, but i sorta just skipped that step, and it still works fine lol

You must have used a DVD install disk, and skipped the support software, that's the only way I can figure you got it to work that way. It boots the setup off the DVD that way. If you didn't have a DVD or USB, I have no clue how it would have boot the setup.

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GTP disks.

I followed these steps all the way through to install & restart. My computer will not boot up. When it restarts it always routes me to a screen that says: Recovery Your PC couldn't start properly After multiple tries, the operating system on your PC has failed to start, so it needs to be repaired. Error Code: 0xc0000001 You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disk or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacurer. Please help!

copying windows file point.. not at all home free... it gave me an error. After looking up the error code I found that the macbook stops giving power to the usb so the "copying windows file" stay at a 0% and then the error pops up

I successfully did everything until the installation of the Windows where an error occur which says, "Windows cannot install required files. The file maybe corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x080070570" I've tried everything I can, but no signs of luck. I've tried different partition sizes, from 40-70GB, but no changes. I tried reinstalling the Windows 10 ISO as well, and went back from scratch, but the same error occurs. You have to buy one or u will see one hanging around somewhere but if u don’t I got mine from Walmart. Or u can get one from amazon, but the USB has to be 8 GB or up. Hopefully this helped but tbh the USB is really cheap so it’s easy to get.

The problem is that mac mount rhe iso image and then let it at that state all the time, you have to go to disk tool and unmount the windows iso, then reboot and go again.

hey can anyone help? ive been trying to download bootcamp with windows 7 on my macbook air (2011 version) it's the same 10.12 Sierra. it formats the usb when i click download. so it gets rid of the bootcamp support software meant for the 2011 version. it then takes like 20 mins to only load the "copying windows files" then says that i dont have the bootcamp support software that it deleted when it formatted it to start downloading everything. it pretty much formats the usb. to where the bootcamp support is gone which i downloaded to the usb before downloading bootcamp. then says that it cant finish. because the bootcamp support isnt there.

Hey SoFair, You need to put in you USB before you start your bootcamp and not remove it in between. Boot camp usually automatically detects the downloaded ISO on your computer. You can change it using the choose option on the right side.

Short answer: Occasionally I do non-audio tech-related videos. I don't actually need Windows for any audio applications. Long answer: A few years a go I was teaching a Macintosh Fundamentals class at a college. I made a Windows 7 Boot Camp video for class, uploaded it to my channel, it's now my 2nd most popular video of all time with 600k+ views! Right behind my Logic #1 video! I recently bought Windows 10 to do some screen capture demos for a company I'm working for, so I figured I would get some use out of it and make an updated version for the video I made for my class. I don't actually have a Windows PC anywhere in my house, I have 3 macs! But every once in a while I find myself needing a Windows PC to run a program or whatnot, so I like to keep a Boot Camp'ed version of it on one of my machines. I'm not much of a gamer, but you can run PC games. And as Sebastian replied, you can run FL studio (it's on Mac, but it's a Beta version). I personally don't use Windows for anything for Audio.

Gotta finish the song first. The hardest part is finding something that's copyright cleared by the artist, or that I wrote. I was working with a band to get an EDM pop song for the series, but it doesn't look like the song I recorded and produced for them will be released anytime soon, and I don't want to put out something on KZbin that isn't released and properly copyrighted yet. So, I'll be working on my own track, hiring a singer, and recording. Hoping by mid-end January.
