INSTALLING A COVER LAY COVER ON THE BOX CHEVY 86 CLASSIC CAPRICE DASHBOARD!

This is the review of the cover lay for any dashboard for caprices from 1986-1990. I do not recommend this product. I had it installed on Superbowl Sunday, and so far, it is loose in the middle. I did fix it by adding more glue and taping it overnight.

The coverlay is nice. What you should have done was sanded down your original dashboard. This would make the fit much tigher and more snug. I cleaned mine and and sprayed the coverlay with a few coats of black. I am gonna modify it soon and trim holes in it and add some accents, if you are on facebook I will show you the finished product. It's actually a good investment. It's simpler than re-doing the entire dashboard.

Do you have to spray the adhesive? Mine just came today and I didn't see that step.

I used the glue. You can spray the adhesive and it might be better.
