I was reading a write up about the rear diff on the rd1. 08-11 Honda Element AWD you can do a direct swap on the rear diff, bolt on. It’s not lsd but from what I read the person said it awd system grabs a lot quicker and better.
@hondaresource2 жыл бұрын
It does for sure. The clutch design is much better. I'm going to be pinning the clutches on this one and running a freelander viscous coupler
@nobodynoone25002 жыл бұрын
Any 08-11 honda with awd works. The element might be the most expensive one, i'd use the crv one. Cheaper and easier to find. Yes, they bolt right up.
@BlessedVeteranAdventures2 жыл бұрын
I heard the same thing. They also put in the toyota shafts. Im thinking of doing the same. The thing is, is the shafts are hard to find since not many toys break down or in junk yard. Folks are selling em for about 2k. This is the same for the v coupler and clutch packs. Stuff gets ecpensive for sure.

Hey buddy, some great content you got here. I was wondering if that phantom grip part works also withe the automatic transmission of the RD1 CRV. If yes, is it ok to use it without the landrover viscous drive shaft? And lastly, which model exactly must i get the drive shaft from

@hondaresource2 жыл бұрын
You could pin the rear diff and install a viscous coupler. Then the rear would actually spin when you press the gas rather than wait for the front to spin then engage

Not worth the effort. If you wanna be ghetto just weld it. These cheap soft aluminum ripoffs just clog your diff with shavings in no time. Literally worse than doing nothing. But hopefully you will let that part be know in a couple months. RIP rear diff.
