Installing a Muncie 4 Speed behind a Big Block Chevy! Leave the Bellhousing on the engine easy way!

I just went through all this on my daughter's '69 SS el Camino. Trans took a lot longer than 10 seconds tool get in! I'm talking about just lining it up and seating it to the bell housing, though.

I used to fight with them all the time. Now I install the bellhousing ahead of time. Two sets of hands ensure she goes straight in, croooked and you offset the clutch plate blah blah blah.

@@shortcutgarageThe bell housing was in first! I went through the same fight on my " 36 Chevy coupe with a '57 bell housing and another Muncie. They went in but, had to do a lot of wiggling and hoping not to bend the clutch disc!
