I have purchased MANY things from Central Michigan. They ship fast, their quality is top notch, and they are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

I totally agree, Ronald. A top-shelf company has been my experience with them.

glad you got a better belt andy . with the canvas pieces through the rubber it hopefully will last as long as the original 1;];];] and very glad lala will not be sold , after all she has gone through . she deserves the perfect home where she will be maintained and used and loved;];];]

Yes, this belt could run a water pump on a jeep. 😀 We'll see how it goes. I plan to ask the Shop for a replacement of the Superbelt, and it's wife's choice as to which stays on the machine. She has already arranged space for Lala, and each morning she asks if I'm finished. Lala will have a nice life, for sure.

As I follow you on my journey to rescue vintage sewing machines, I realize I'm missing a valuable tool; someone to test my finished product under load (true working conditions). My test sews are not reflective of how the machine would be used in sewing projects. So, when a machine leaves me, there's always that small nagging doubt that it hasn't been fully stressed and I can only hope that I have fixed it properly. Be thankful for your blessings, and I'm sure you are.

I get this, and I am grateful for sure. It's a blessing. I know those doubts but have learned not to dig up what I fixed in good faith. When I sell a machine I explain to the buyer and give them a 90-day warranty on parts & labor, lifetime email support. So far so good, and only one needle bar that slipped down. The husband watched my video and reset the height, so all was well. Thanks so much for saving the machines, Terry. That's the best part.

Nice video Andy and I hope Lala is happy with it. I am sure the nice people at the Featherweight shop will make thins right about the bad belt. The Featherweight has a sort of new tool to measure bobbin case tension and it is one of my favorite tools in my collection and I use it for all my machines now. Thank you Andy.

Thanks, Brett. She is running well even if a little slower. I don't know if it will have less drag once it gets used for a while. I will ask the shop for a replacement and have it ready if my wife feels the new belt is slowing her down. Thanks for watching my videos, Brett. Take care.

I'm wondering if those broken ends of the belt could be fused together. Lightly bunsen burn the ends hold together for a couple of minutes. I use similar on my jeweler's lathes. I let mine sit overnight before use. Just a thought, unless you have to send it back. Thanks, great videos.

Hmm... rubber welding? I'll see if they want the belt back and thanks for the suggestion. Creative 👍

Hi Andy, Love your videos. Please let us know what your wife thinks of LaLa’s new belt once she try’s her out. Thanks

Sure. When I get the Superbelt replacement I'll let her try both. Thanks for watching my channel.

Oh, haha. I did not think of that! She always gets the first choice. She took the 301A Coco "to take it for a spin" and still has it. 3 months later I asked how Coco was doing and she just said "still spining" 😀 Thanks for watching.

Andy all of this belt they are all the same they slow your machine, the original belt of the featherweight are real rubber all of this cheap belts are plastic of rubber alternative my machines has still original I do not change it unless they are broken, buy s side bobbin winder with battery and your belt will last longer, success

thanks for sharing a good tip. I'll pass it along to the new owner of this machine. Thanks for watching my channel.

You’re very welcome Andy but the original belt is not easy to find, but tell the new owner that if he find one is better to buy a battery side winder from Simplicity( brand) can be found on amazon but only to preserve the original belt in case he find one, mean time is not necessary because he can buy a new belt in the same provider make no sense at lo, the belt of the featherweight shop broke because does not have any fabric or cord inside as the original was, with an original belt this machines runs like a dream! She identify immediately an star to runs s should be, but is has been more than 60 years that they do not produce the original belt , them and all this cheap belts are plastic not rubber the name said it all reproductions , for me the best are one Japanese from the brand Bando those are better quality but never like the original! Success and thank you for your answer

@@elyumadecuba683 You are very correct about the plastic belts. Here is the next video where I explain that the belt broke the first day: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z365p3VudrxgerM The seller sent me two new ones.
