I’d probably change power windows over to manual ones if I had to do it again! But honestly it’s not too terrible - once you’ve done it a few times.

Did you cut your inner door shell? Mine access holes are not that big and don't have that brace

As far as I know, 77-87 trucks had the inner door strap brace. But the hole size might’ve changed over the years
