DIY Installing a Starlight Headliner in a Chevy Silverado *IS IT DIFFICULT??

In this video, Tyler and I install a very controversial mod... a 600pc starlight headliner kit from Amazon. Watch us struggle to remove the headliner and put it back in. Was this mod worth the time and effort? Let me know in the comments.

just for future reference I've installed multiple and just left the box and the strands up in the headliner and just only ran the power cord down bought a extended cable on amazon

Yep, the only problem is the third brake light doesn't work without the wiring harness being plugged back in.

No, we just folded them down all the way.

@juniorreynolds2443 I don't have any pictures, but we routed it down the driver A-pillar. There should be a opening somewhere. You may need to pop off some trim pieces around it so you can see what your doing.

Yes, we did. Just fold them down as far as possible. Shouldn't be any different with the center console.

all these people i watch trying to slide the headliner thru the door.... like .... open the trunk and get it out there... its the same lenght +/- few cm as the headliner.... you get it out in 20 secs "*edit in reply*"

Maybe if you have a hatchback or suv, that would work better. I just installed one on my BMW coupe, and if you were to take out the headliner through the trunk, you'd have to fold the headliner in half. Every vehicles trunk opening is different.
