The reason you have so much excess length is because that sling will fit the HK91/G3/PTR 91/C308 full length rifles. Your MP5 sling points are just a tad closer together than the rifles.

Yea couldn't find any shorter but I'm also not sure if they come shorter. Also I didn't really want to cut the sling

The extra triglide that you ran it through that was from a previous sling after you run it through there in then go back through it again then tape it then it can never come out thats how military would do it and the big triglide that you ran the other hook through hooks in the middle on that little clip thats on the side of the magwell you only half way have that sling attached the way it is now that is a 3 point sling not a 2 point sling it is not hooked up all the way correctly right now

DO NOT CUT THE SLING! It is a 3 point sling and you installed it incorrectly. The clasp on the rear feastens to the sharp belt buckle, NOT the rear sling mount. The sling goes through the rear mount and is secured by the sling lassoed through a tri-glide multiple times. The buckle clasp is what converts the 2 point sling into a 3 point sling. Ian McKellen of Forgotten Weapons demonstrates the CORRECT use of a 3 point sling on a French FAMAS.

@@kwokwingyo - Bad camera work. What was shown was an incoherent clip full of mistakes which should never have found their way into the final version. The presentation jumped from one bit to the next without any continuity, making the viewer squirm with embarrassment - like I did. The winning bit was that you at least had the camera mounted, allowing you both hands free. I've seen one-handed presentations which were SO awful that my testicles retracted into my body. After all that, it was still not clear how this strap worked, as the shot remained local and focused on a small part of the gun - instead of a wider range. Any YT clip should be edited into coherent pieces, even if you have to try and try again until you get it right. That's the name of the game. Just watch ANY YT clip which is pleasant to watch and is informative. I bet the uploader tried many takes to get it right - along with proper editing. Good luck.
