Grizz some of our applications have flanges with no tape. People mistakenly install these flanges in the window channel. These flanges go between the rubber trim and door post.

@@docsjeepintips2973 been installing since there were metal ones and installed in channel for first time on 18 forester. Electric windows would kick back down. Had to bevel edges(file) visor on ends to remedy.

Do the outside visor tape to the weather stripping or on the body I need to know asap

Improper installation or not.....I tried the in-channel avs vent visors and after repeated tries, I could not get them installed on my F150. I threw them in the trash and bought the tape on kind...NO installation problems. Lots of reviews about in-channel installation problems.

My driver side door in channel broke(brand new...) during install at the front side mirror panel. I called O'Reilly and will be trading them out tomorrow for this style. Improper install or not, the tape should stick, the windows should roll all the way up, and it shouldn't break with low pressure. I had all of these issues. Oreillys is making good on it though.

I am worried on my 2019 F150 about damaging the trim piece for the mirror sliding the vent tab under it. Any tricks to doing that?

Just put some on my 2017 supercab F150 today without a problem. Put a set of in channel on my Subaru 2 yrs ago and learned that there really isn't room in channel for them!!! Auto window will go back down sometimes usually when it's hot outside.

The front ones where the clip slides in is it between the rubber and the hard part it goes?

I installed on my 23 f-150 . I have a gap now between the plastic . Did you have this issue if so what did you do to solve it

I'm thinking about getting the in Channel ones for my F-150. However I am reading tons of negative comments on them. So now I'm thinking the outside ones would be best. How are these holding up?

I bought some in channel ones last year but never installed them. These ones are still holding up very well.

The tape goes on the truck body.

Sorry old video I know lol but was the peak (the triangle of sorts at the top) of the mirror trip piece sticking out after you put them in? I put some on yesterday and the position of the indentions on the front appears to be the same as your but the top of the trim piece is now opened a bit more than I feel like it should be. I can also see the fuzzy grippy strip on the inside of the tab from inside the cab of my truck. I'm guess I didn't do it right, but it looks like the indentions are supposed to line up perfectly with the trim but it wouldn't reach the back of the front window when I did that, and it looks like yours are like mine and not completely pushed all the way in. Have you had any problems with them?

Mine went in under the panel perfectly and reached the back of the window no problem. A few years later and everything is still holding up. Is your visor the right year for your truck? Could they have shipped you the wrong item?

How does it hold up to car washes in the long term ?

No you don't wish yougot in channel, they snap on multiple pieces and don't hold up as well. No matter how carefully you install.

@@darktoylord They're really nice, just the effort you go to in hopes they don't break is a bit much. I just ordered the original avs ones that just stick. Both are nice IMO regardless. 👍🏾
